THIS IS NOT THE PLACE YOU WANT TO LIVE. My roommates and I moved in August 2025, when we first toured the place, they said each month they offer an event with free stuff each month. Well that never happen, in the two years living there we got 5 free events with stuff. That management company only lasted a few months before all the suddenly they switched to a new one, Cardinal Group. This management was absolutely terrible. First issue was safety, there was many times my roommates and I would walk into the lobby and find homeless people wandering around. Another safety issue was when someone threw a brick through the leasing office window and we didn't get any information about it for about a week, and it took over a week to fix. Then we had a 2 shooting very close, one by Taco Bell, the second one where they literally closed down High Street in front of the building. The company did not send anything about safety. They also claim there were security guards, but I only saw them three times my whole 2 years living there. They also have cannot fix anything, I had a leak in my ceiling that was dripping water on my bed, someone said they came in and fixed it. Nope, it started leaking again very soon, so someone came back and just patched it. When it started leaking again, they sent someone back in and they told me they would have to rip apart my whole ceiling. I told them to patch it since I was moving out soon and needed my room, that they can't just rip apart my entire ceiling and take months to fix. Another reason not to live here is the elevator were broken basically all of last year, they were fixed once, then broken again. You never saw anyone working on it. There was also construction that started across the street, the workers were working all hours of the night, we complained saying it kept waking us up since the window are so cheap and thin you can hear everything. They told us that we needed to make a complaint to the city, as that should be their job, we are students, we had school to focus on. Also during the school year they decided to switch to a new wifi company. There wifi was in an out all the time, rarely worked. So when the residents started t0 complain they sent an email saying "its a free service and that we needed to contact the company directly." Yes, it's a free service, but you tell people you provide it, and you have students living there, there shouldn't be as many wifi issues as there was. Lastly when moving out, no one was in the office, they claimed they need to do an inspection but didn't because no one was in the office, then later charged each one of my roommates a different amount based on stuff, like cleaning, a trash bag, paint. All thing we fixed and cleaned before we left. Overall, my roommates and I would never recommended this place to anyone, save yourself and find a better place to live.

Never left a 1 star review before but this place deserves it. From the constant internet outages, to the defective fire alarms, the front elevator that’s been broken since January, the malicious cancelling of students leases, and the time I was locked out of the building at night with about 6 other tenants because the electronic locks were broken, I’m happy to be moving out.
The management at this overpriced, decaying building is a disgrace. Ignore the 5 star reviews, none of the dozens of tenants I’ve spoken to over the last year are happy with the current state of things. Stay away from this property, and any other properties under the Statehouse brand.

This place is an absolute joke. I lived here for 3 years and somehow it just kept getting worse every single year.
The hallways constantly smelled like shit because people would leave trash piled up on the fourth floor for days. The doors were always left open so homeless people would literally sleep in the stairwells. Super safe, right?
My washer and dryer broke after using it the exact same way for three years, and somehow they tried to tell me I was responsible for replacing it. Yeah… no.
Then my key fob died, and when I called emergency maintenance and the lockout number, nobody answered or showed up. I literally had to sleep somewhere else because I couldn’t get into my own apartment.
The front elevator barely ever worked, and for about a month the back entrance wouldn’t even open. I had to walk an entire lap around the building just to get into my own apartment. For the amount of rent they charge, that’s embarrassing.
Speaking of rent, they raise it every single year by around $50 while somehow making the place worse. They also threw random charges on my account that made absolutely no sense.
Management was a nightmare. During roommate issues they barged into my apartment with a maintenance guy accusing me of harassment even though I had video proof showing what was actually going on. Instead of listening, they just made assumptions. On top of that, random maintenance and cleaning crews would show up inside my apartment without any notice.
Don’t even get me started on the amenities. The pool was closed for over half the summer and literally sat there full of green nasty water that smelled like shit. Everyone with balconies facing the pool got to enjoy staring at a swamp all day. Then it finally opened less than a month ago. Thanks for the “luxury amenities.”
The gym was also closed for like two months for “renovations.” It finally reopened and looked exactly the same. I honestly have no idea what they renovated because nothing looked different.
This place charges luxury apartment prices for college dorm quality management. Save yourself the headache, save yourself the money, and live literally anywhere else.

I stayed here for the past two years, and I hated it more every month.
Pros:
Great location!
Cons:
The villains that own this place could not care less about the tenants.
For the longest time, only one entrance was working; the one next to the permanently broken elevator. But at least the working elevator was next to the BROKEN entrance.
On that note, the entrances were often unlocked, so homeless folks would live in the stairway which is kind’ve funny but mostly scary.
Bonus, every time the handy man is at my place, EVERY TIME, he crop dusts my apartment. Literally leaves my place in a stinky haze that I was totally free from before he came by. It seems intentional.
Whenever I would get a notification from Amazon that my package was delivered, I’d actually be able to pick it up at the office a week later. What were they doing? Shaking my packages to guess what was in them before handing them over??
One reason I was drawn to this place, was the promise of a pool, which as of early July at least, has been closed because of the overwhelmingly stinky green MUCK and mire that’s filling it up.
I honestly can’t believe this place is still in business

Terrible management and maintenance services, facilities either in poor condition or not operational— to include essential functions like elevators, entrances, etc. Mail/packages are distributed to residents late for no apparent reason. Complaints are disregarded and go unresolved. Please, save yourself the hardship and avoid leasing here.
