We built our home in October of 2023. While we truly enjoy our home and the community overall, our experience with the build quality has been disappointing.
Since moving in, we have encountered several issues including siding coming off three separate times, portions of the roof needing repair, and our driveway already beginning to crumble. Additionally, the interior walls are extremely thin, which impacts sound insulation throughout the house. These concerns have required repeated attention within a relatively short period of time after construction.
From speaking with neighbors and following the community Facebook page, it appears that some homeowners have experienced even more significant issues, including large sections of siding or roofing coming loose, electrical problems, and furnace-related concerns.
Another frustration involved information we received during the sales process. We were told that selecting the tub option would reduce the size of the shower by about a foot or less. In reality, it reduced the shower space by approximately three feet, resulting in a much smaller shower than expected. Had we known this beforehand, we likely would have skipped that upgrade.
We were also told that our lot was a “premium lot” with no homes planned behind it. While that may have been true initially, homes are now being constructed behind us only a couple of years later. Additionally, we were told there were several children close to our kids’ ages on our cul-de-sac, which unfortunately has not turned out to be the case.
That said, the neighborhood itself is nice and the community has many good qualities. However, the development is quite dense with a large number of homes, and the playground provided for the community is laughable compared to what you might expect in a neighborhood of this size. 3 swings and a playground fit for those 5 and under.
This review is not written simply to complain, but to provide an honest account of our experience. We do love our home and appreciate aspects of the community, but if we had known then what we know now, we likely would have chosen a different path—possibly purchasing land and working with a private builder instead of building through Pulte.
