  PLSSS DO NOT RENT at this apartment complex: i had a friend visiting for the week and gave her the apartment keys to leave at the security desk this morning. The security desk was supposed to return them to me when i get home from work. It was clearly communicated to the security guard that the keys belong to unit 602 and to hand them to the resident when she gets home. Instead, the security guard handed them to the cleaners at the AirBNB company that operates at this building, and the cleaners left the building with them . I was told it will be hard to find the keys because they are two AirBNB companies that rent out apartments at this building, (The AirBNBs which they claim do not operate here). It took about an hour to get my keys back. Additionally, the entire reason I signed onto this apartment was a $150/month rent discount which was promised to continue throughout the time I am in residency. So far, I have spoken with multiple leasing agents, who promised me they would restore the discount, I signed multiple contracts agreeing to the discount, and the discount has still not been restored for the last two months - so the company also owes me $300, and I wonder if at this point they will reinstate the discount next month as promised. I’ve been emailing them since June trying to make sure the discount continues as promised (lease was renewed in July and they did not keep their promise.) I am so disappointed and I really regret moving here. Ive lived in apartments for the last 10 years and have honestly never dealt with such dishonest and incompetent management at any other apartment. I should have listened when I saw many people online say that K&D is a shady company.

  Felt compelled to write a review, because Jacob at the leasing office has just repeatedly been so kind, helpful, and willing to take the time to find solutions to issues that were most certainly not his problem. Thank you so much, your efforts do not go unnoticed!

  Marcelo was great, quick and efficient with his tour. New community room is brand new and looks amazing! Awesome building all around!

  I have been here a week so far and I am loving my new home. Moving can be stressful but Marcelo made my move in easy with his kindness and helpfulness. Marcelo and Lou are always friendly in the office and David with the maintenance team fixed the issues in the apartment quickly and was very nice. Glad to call Residences at 1717 home!

  So far great experience, the staff is nice and helpful. The moving process was very easy and fast.
