Residents can choose to participate in card games, bingo, dominoes, puzzling, chair volleyball, events in the cafe, movies in the theatre, etc. or just gather in the lobby to chat and relax. I like the fact that I can live independently, shopping and preparing my own meals, and am not charged for other extras that I will never use. Oh, and did I say "I love my apartment!" They have done everything to adapt my apartment. The residents are very friendly. They go out of their way to help new tenants feel welcome. Marge Graham
- JHJan HoyngMar 3, 20214.0My 2 bedroom apt. is cozy and is on the ground level. Since I have a pet, I appreciate this. His view of all the birds, the squirrels and large trees is great. The location of Valley Creek is wonderful....close to shopping, churches, Interstate and parks. The age group living here is from 55+, thus the age span is large. Many would appreciate new activities that would replace the same ones that have been here for many years. Many, especially the older people would greatly appreciate at least coverage for their cars; garages cannot be considered due to lack of space. Parking for everyone is a challenge and requires for most, a long walk in inclement weather. The very elderly have much difficulty with this. There are many with walkers, wheelchairs and canes. To add to that difficulty is a ramp that must be utilized to get into the entrance. Since Vally Creek was built in1985, the walls and separations between apts. do not keep out the noises of neighbors. Next door to Bethesda Hospital provides daily noise of ambulances, police cars, and helicopters transporting patients. In regard to better activities might be music, films, even dancing. None of the arts are heavily present. Towne Properties is improving some of the grounds which is great. I hope it continues......I know all are anxiously awaiting to see improvement.
