I’ve been here for 10 days and this has honestly been one of the worst move-in experiences I’ve ever had.
The unit I was shown looked nothing like the apartment I moved into. When I arrived, the place was extremely dirty and clearly had not been properly cleaned after the last tenant. The refrigerator had caked-on food, mold, hair, rust, and even a bug inside. The stove was covered in old food, buildup, and mold/fungus — completely unsafe to cook on.
The entire apartment had dirt, cobwebs, and dust throughout, along with a strong cigarette smell. The bathroom floor is peeling with cracked tiles, and the seal around the tub has visible mold. My child doesn’t even feel comfortable using the bathtub, and I don’t blame her.
I reported these issues and was told they were “resolved,” but they were not. I’m now having to deep clean and figure things out myself just to make the space livable.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to thoroughly inspect the actual unit before moving in, not just the showroom.

it’s great! management is understanding and the workers around that help with keeping the apartments tidy are very nice. i would recommend these apartments to anyone who’s looking for something affordable and comfortable!

It is Nicee Apparent
Maintenance never comes, even when emergency services are requested. Heating system is inconsistent, works in some rooms only. Currently trying to break my lease legally after three months

This place is absolutely deplorable. I lived here for 2 1/2 years and have had nothing but trouble. I was promised an updated apartment because they had done renovations. This didn't happen. My apartment was outdated, had stains on the floors, I had broken kitchen drawers and a completely broken off cabinet door upon moving in. The toilet was disgusting and upon cleaning it the first time. It was EASY to clean they just didn't bother. The toilet also never flushed right. It flooded my bathroom 4 times. The heating system causes the most problems, however. It's extremely old and they leak. This causes a serious black mold problem. Which they won't fix. You have no control over the heat and you cannot turn it off. It gets very hot in the apartments and they just tell you to open windows in the dead of winter. They turn the heat on in September when it's still got outside (usually) and they turn it off in May, when it's hot out. My tub faucet was also running (a steady stream not a drip) for months before they came and did anything. Also, beware they like to come into your apartment without your permission and while you're not home. Stock up on fuses as well because you will blow through them like crazy. The parking situation is totally unbarable. There is no where to park on street and you have to pay an extra $35 a month to park in the underground garage (which they still advertise as a pool; don't be fooled there is no pool) or $25 for the very small lot on Fordham. However if the power goes out for any reason you're not getting in or out of either. There is no back up generator. Any time you recertify a lease your rent goes up by a lot of money. This is normal for a lot of places however a $35 increase? For no reason at all? They will send you the exact same letter every year with a ridiculous rent Increase and say "operating costs" continue to rise. The only place I have ever seen the money go is to keep the outside looking pretty while the inside is deplorable. The fire alarm system is also not connected to 911 dispatch like it's supposed to be.
And as soon as you exercise any of your legal tenant rights, they will evict you.
