  After 3.5 years in the building, I can honestly say this was the most frustrating rental experience I've had. Between the prolonged/continued roof closure, constant penny-pinching, and an all-around unfriendly leasing office, it's clear that resident experience was never a priority. I'm relieved to be done with the building and wish future tenants better treatment than we received.

  We recommend avoiding the Metropolis as prior penthouse residents: 1. Water damage on ceiling ignored for approximately 3 months. Management painted over it once move-out notice was submitted. 2. North-facing windows leak during heavy rain. 3. Big cracks all over walls and ceilings. Management painted over them before new tenant moved in. 4. 110+ decibel rooftop drilling for weeks. No rent reduction was offered. 5. 90F+ with both ACs running. South/east/west-facing apartments with high ceilings are especially affected. 6. Hole in living room parquet floor for approximately 2 months. 7. Broken blinds were not replaced. 8. Shower constantly clogs. 9. Cockroaches in washer/dryer room. 10. Elevators get stuck regularly.

  From a prospective tenant: Was quoted a price, expressed interest and booked tour for 2 days later, and in the meantime they increased the unit monthly price $200. Really bad customer service and in my opinion dishonest and reflects poorly on the leasing company and how they view prospective tenants.

  do not move here unless you want to breathe cigarette smoke every day every night! They raise your rent every year and take away what you’re paying for I’ve been here for a few years now and I have only a few complaints. The roof deck was amazing but only has furniture 6 months of the year which is stupid because weather is great up there more than 6 months. Not sure why but it’s like punishment and they put it out on no schedule. It’s been closed for almost 2 years and they raised our rent right before they closed it. Most people move out after a year because the false advertising sets in and they realize the owners are cheap and greedy.
