I’m giving this place 1 star mainly because of the crime and lack of security.
Since living here, my car has been stolen once and had its windows broken twice. After it was stolen, it was found about 20 miles away. I filed a police report as soon as I realized it was missing, paid to have it towed after it was recovered, and spent around $3,000 to get it running again. I’m also facing another estimated $3,000 in repairs because of the damage that was done.
If I hadn’t been forced to deal with these unexpected expenses, I would have already moved.
For the price, the apartments themselves are okay. However, because my vehicle was repeatedly targeted, I can’t recommend living here. As I’m writing this review, there’s another car in the parking lot with a missing bumper and a broken window. I also regularly see broken glass in the parking lot from vehicle break-ins.
The complex installed a gate at one entrance, but the north entrance remains completely open, so anyone can still drive into the property. That makes the gate feel ineffective from a security standpoint.
If you’re considering moving here, I would think twice especially if you own an older vehicle. If you do decide to live here, I strongly recommend using a steering wheel lock and taking every precaution you can.
Edit (after the owner responded)
I found it interesting that management stated there is no vehicle on the property matching my description. After reading your response, I walked outside and took photos of the exact vehicle I was referring to. It is still parked in the community with a broken window, a missing fender, and visible damage. With broken glass still on the street.
I also stand by my statement that management was notified when my vehicle was stolen.
(So I posted the community message)
I called the after-hours emergency number the morning it happened because the office was closed that Saturday, and the community later received a notification about the incident.
I understand apartment management cannot stop every crime. My review simply reflects my personal experience of having my car stolen once, vandalized twice, and the resulting costs and frustration while living here. The statements in my review are based on my own experience and the photos attached.
I have lived here for about 6 months now and it has been ok maintenance is super kind and helpful but the lady’s in the office always make me feel like I am bothering them one time i was at work when Kristen had called my phone 3 times and when I finally answered it was her basically yelling at me saying my friends were in the pool and it was closed I told her no I am at work and have my pool key she said well if they come back ur getting a lease violation even though I made it very clear, I did not know the girls that were in the pool. Another time I had contacted them about a new car I had gotten and my license plate hasn’t came in yet, but I would need to register the car so it doesn’t get towed and Jordan told me it would be fine if I waited till my actual plate came in to register it a couple days later I wake up and my car has a boot on it, and when I tried to reach out to them to figure out what happened or where I went wrong, they stopped answering.
They did a great job trying to keep my living space so comfortable. I filed a AC disfunction, they immediately came in the next day after 3 hours checking they decided to replace the whole AC for my apartment for 2 days. Everything was easy to access

if i could give them negative points i would. I applied for an apartment at Calero Apartments in July 2025 and paid a holding deposit. I did not move forward with renting after the application process.
During my initial tour with Kristen, the experience was unprofessional and I did not receive clear information about the apartment. I later spoke with another staff member who was more helpful, which initially encouraged me to continue the application process.
After reviewing more information, I decided not to move forward. As of 2026, I still have not received my holding deposit back despite multiple attempts to resolve it.
When I followed up again recently, with Kristen the property manger so rude the interaction was unhelpful and unprofessional, and I was not given any resolution regarding my refund.
do not rent here there homes are nasty just like there property manger maybe if yall had good attuited you rating would not be so low.
