  My son needed to find an apartment in Rahway on very short notice. Since he was moving from Maryland, we were concerned about getting everything arranged within such a tight timeframe. Hunter was exceptionally helpful and always quick to respond to our many questions. Both he and Mona made the entire process easy and stress-free. Without question, The Mint is the best apartment option in Rahway. The building is clean, secure, and very well managed. We highly recommend The Mint to anyone looking for a quality place to live in the area!

  Extremely disappointing experience with management after being displaced from my apartment. On June 11–12, 2026, the building alarm went off, and after we were allowed back inside, I discovered the sprinkler system outside my 4th-floor apartment had activated. Water was pouring from my ceiling and damaged my personal belongings. Around 1–2 AM, I was left sitting in the lobby while trying to figure out where I could stay. Management eventually paid for one hotel night. I was later told by Zamona to remove what belongings I could and not return until repairs were completed. When I asked about a temporary vacant apartment, I was initially told there were none, despite seeing available units advertised online. Days later, I was told units were available. I also discovered that my apartment door lock had been disabled while my belongings were still inside, which was extremely concerning. I sent three emails to Customer Care asking what caused the incident, how long repairs would take, and how my belongings were being secured. I never received a written response. I was displaced throughout June and July but was still charged July rent. During a conversation about rent, I was told by someone named Zebbie, "Why wouldn't you pay rent?" My displacement was also compared to being on vacation. Being forced out of your home because of water damage is not a vacation. On July 15, I was told repairs were nearly complete and that I could return on July 22. I was told the apartment was ready and clean. It wasn't. During a walkthrough with Hunter, I found multiple unresolved damages and discovered a new ceiling leak. Contractors later inspected the leak and indicated it was spreading. What makes this especially frustrating is that I have photos, videos, emails, and other documentation supporting my experience. I understand emergencies happen. My issue is the lack of communication, inconsistent information, security concerns, unresolved repairs, and being told my apartment was ready when it clearly wasn't. After everything, I simply expected a safe, secure, properly repaired and habitable home. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

  I recently toured the property and the building and amenities were well maintained. A special shoutout to Hunter in the leasing office. Hunter has been incredibly professional, friendly, and responsive from day one. Whether answering questions, helping with the leasing process, or following up on requests. It's clear they genuinely care about providing outstanding customer service. If you're looking for a place with a great team and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend this apartment community!
