I am writing this review to draw attention to the situation, as my maintenance requests have been ignored and left unresolved since mid-January.
Throughout the winter, our apartment in particular was extremely cold. I gave birth in January, and despite all of my requests and maintenance attempts to clean or fix the system, the results were either ineffective or my concerns were ignored.
The same situation has continued into the spring. Despite repeated complaints and documented dangerously high temperatures since April — becoming especially critical now in May — and despite numerous requests for help and detailed explanations of how serious this situation is, no one has solved or is solving our problem. All we continue to receive are promises. It has been five months already.
My husband is serving in the military, and I am alone with a newborn baby who cannot sleep and is overheating, as well as elderly dogs who are struggling to breathe in these conditions.
This is only one of many terrible situations we have experienced while living here — and there have been many. But this one puts the health and safety of my family at risk.
If you are considering The Beacon as a place to live, please think carefully. It may look beautiful on the surface, but you may face many serious problems.
If anyone can help me protect my family or guide me on what to do, please help us.
The WORST management ever. They are non-communicative and do not respond on time at all. Add illegal fees and unnecessary charges all the time. Community is decent but the management is awful and specially the Resident services team, they will not answer any questions or take accountability for anything.
There are water cuts in the building for multiple days, the HVAC systems do not work specially the air conditioning during hot days, the fire alarm goes off in the entire building randomly due to a fault, the elevators are not working half the time.
High time the management and the worst resident service team is changed.
Worst apartment in terms of management response , shuttle and water services . They follows rules whenever they need to loot money and if there is a delay or issue at their end , they turn a blind eye . Sometimes entire building does not have water for days
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Living at The Beacon JC has honestly been an amazing experience. The building’s finishes have that timeless, elegant New York feel—there’s just something about the design that feels elevated and classic without trying too hard.
The apartments themselves are a huge highlight: very spacious layouts, massive windows, and high ceilings that make the whole place feel open and bright. And the views? Absolutely stunning. Waking up or unwinding with that skyline never gets old.
All the common areas are extremely well equipped and thoughtfully designed. And the rooftops—wow. The views of Manhattan are breathtaking, the kind that genuinely make you stop and take it in for a second.
Now, about the shuttle—yes, people love to complain about it, but honestly, it works just fine for what it is. It’s a free service (even if technically included in amenities), and it’s a nice extra that many buildings don’t even offer. Some of the criticism feels overly dramatic for what is essentially a bonus convenience.
Also, there’s been a lot of random speculation and rumors floating around… but no, the building is not “haunted” or anything like that. That’s just people talking.
One more big win: the gym. It’s very well equipped—good enough that I completely stopped paying for an external gym membership after moving here.
Overall, The Beacon offers space, style, amenities, and views that are hard to beat. Definitely 5 st

My experience at The Beacon has been extremely disappointing, and what is most concerning is that the recurring issues are matched by a clear lack of urgency from management.
The recent shuttle schedule changes have made daily commuting unnecessarily difficult for residents. What was already a high-demand service now feels poorly managed, with residents routinely waiting in long lines for 30 to 45 minutes. Multiple complaints have been raised, yet there has been no meaningful improvement. If anything, the situation seems to be getting worse.
The air conditioning issue has been equally unacceptable. Even in temperatures around 80–85°F, the building cooling has not been turned on, leaving apartments uncomfortably warm and difficult to live in. Residents have submitted maintenance requests, only to have them closed with generic, template-style responses that do not reflect any real attempt to understand or resolve the problem. That kind of response only adds to the frustration.
At this point, the issue is not just poor service, but the pattern of dismissiveness in how resident concerns are handled. There seems to be far more interest in closing complaints than in addressing them properly. For a property that presents itself as a premium residential community, the gap between expectation and reality has been striking.
Because of the continued inconvenience, lack of accountability, and unwillingness to resolve basic quality-of-life concerns, I am increasingly disinclined to renew my lease.
