  my wife came home in tears after trying to speak to someone about the second floor still having a foul smell. management staff treated her very poorly and they are always in a bad mood. it is impossible to get through the phone with someone as well. they treated us very good when we moved in 1 year ago and we were signing the papers to move in. ever since then, every time we go for the parking ticket, surprise fees added to the bill with no explanation, or any simple question, everyone is always extremely rude. my wife doesn’t speak the best english but that does not give them any right to speak to her poorly or make her feel bad. we live here and we should be able to ask questions or bring up problems without being treated like this. very disappointed with the way they treat residents once you already moved in.

  Watching my wife break down in tears leaving the pool area because the lifeguard was screaming aggressively and uncontrollably at us was not how I wanted to spend my 1 day off of work each week. We tried to get a pool pass. They were closed. We told the lifeguard this and gave her our names and apt to give to management and we said we will speak with management tomorrow. What followed was unprecedented. She sat for almost an hour on the phone trash talking us (even though we were seated right next to her and she knew we could hear… very odd). Then she let in 3 other families who were not wearing wristbands but she did not ask them for wristbands. Then a man who works here started aggressively telling my wife “you cant be here” over and over again even though we were just sitting on a chair together for 45 min. Then he said “i refuse to talk to or help your wife but ill talk to you.” To be honest, it feels like we were discriminated against for being muslim and my wife was wearing a hijab. I really did not expect 2 people to aggressively verbally attack us just for existing.

  Management at Harbor Pointe has been very frustrating to deal with. My lease ends June 13, 2026. Since I liked living here, I tried to either renew with a new roommate or move to another unit (as suggested by management). I was informed via email that I could not renew my lease with a new roommate and was instead advised to apply for a new unit, which would be treated as a new lease. Based on that guidance, I applied for a unit starting May 15, planning a short overlap for moving (and was willing to pay double rent). However, my application was canceled the next day without any email notification—my prospective roommate received a call instead. Key things to know if you’re in a similar situation: • You cannot add/remove a roommate at the same time (no lease transfer flexibility) even if all leaseholders are willing to sign and approve the change. • You cannot have any lease overlap—even for a short move-out/move-in transition This makes it very difficult to plan a normal move, even within the same building. I was also told a new lease can only start after the current one ends (not even same-day). I have always paid on time and had no issues as a tenant, but policies felt inflexible and communication was inconsistent. Even after prior email confirmation, I was later told policies had changed. Additionally, the $250 application fee has still not been refunded, and I have not received any clear timeline. The property itself is decent, but management makes the experience unnecessarily difficult.
