Our new apartments for rent in New Jersey, offer a convenient and affordable alternative to Hoboken, Jersey City, or Manhattan. Bask in a life of style and intrigue when you call Harbor Pointe home.
There was a fire above our apartment. We have two kids under 2 years old, so we left the apartment as soon as the alarms started to sound. When we returned, we noticed that the fire department had broken our door, and there was water leaking from the ceiling all over our bed and our kids’ belongings, including the crib and bassinet.
Before going to the office, we tried calling the main line and the emergency line, but we were only getting the automated system, and the calls were not going anywhere. Since there was water falling onto our bed, the baby bassinet, and our kids’ bed, we went to the main office to figure out what was going to happen next.
There were two people in the office: a lady who lives in the building and a younger male. Both of them refused to help and gave me a lot of attitude. They told us we had to “open a ticket” and said they had done more than they needed to by telling us that. Meanwhile, water was still leaking into our apartment, our door was broken, and our kids were crying because the alarm would not stop sounding.
After they continued giving us attitude, I said, “Alright, keep that same energy when I speak to management.” After that, both of them acted like they wanted to argue and fight instead of helping us. They both decided to go into the office rather than assist us, and they told us to speak to management on Monday when management would be there.
Luckily, we ran into a firefighter who gave us the phone number of the person who was in charge of the building for the day. That person at least told us they would order a new door, but that it would take a few days to arrive. Even the firefighter mentioned that it was unacceptable for the building not to assist us and that someone from the office should have at least called someone for us or given us the phone number of the person we needed to speak to.
Is it too much in this situation to expect support to call maintenance or contact someone who can actually help? This is the most unprofessional customer support I have ever experienced in my life.
Because no one in the office assisted us and both of them refused to help, we had no choice but to get a hotel for our family. We could not stay in the apartment since they mentioned we needed to get comfirmation from the building it was safe, with a broken door, water leaking, and no support from the office.

my wife came home in tears after trying to speak to someone about the second floor still having a foul smell. management staff treated her very poorly and they are always in a bad mood.
it is impossible to get through the phone with someone as well. they treated us very good when we moved in 1 year ago and we were signing the papers to move in. ever since then, every time we go for the parking ticket, surprise fees added to the bill with no explanation, or any simple question, everyone is always extremely rude.
my wife doesn’t speak the best english but that does not give them any right to speak to her poorly or make her feel bad. we live here and we should be able to ask questions or bring up problems without being treated like this. very disappointed with the way they treat residents once you already moved in.

Watching my wife break down in tears leaving the pool area because the lifeguard was screaming aggressively and uncontrollably at us was not how I wanted to spend my 1 day off of work each week. We tried to get a pool pass. They were closed. We told the lifeguard this and gave her our names and apt to give to management and we said we will speak with management tomorrow. What followed was unprecedented. She sat for almost an hour on the phone trash talking us (even though we were seated right next to her and she knew we could hear… very odd). Then she let in 3 other families who were not wearing wristbands but she did not ask them for wristbands. Then a man who works here started aggressively telling my wife “you cant be here” over and over again even though we were just sitting on a chair together for 45 min. Then he said “i refuse to talk to or help your wife but ill talk to you.” To be honest, it feels like we were discriminated against for being muslim and my wife was wearing a hijab. I really did not expect 2 people to aggressively verbally attack us just for existing.

Was not approved last week and haven’t received an email regarding my refund. I am concerned multiple people have said the same thing. I will need this back ASAP.
