  New management takeover is just ridiculous and will unexpectedly not renew your lease for reasons they will automatically blame you for and then claim you’re the one harassing them. Had the management actually block my car in when I tried leaving for work to yell at me for a perceived broken rule. I just wanted to go to work.

  Currently live here for close to $3000 a month. The leasing agent we had was great and we love the quiet environment and friendly neighbors we frequently speak to. Building is always clean and well kept as well as excellent snow removal. Down sides are we had to put plastic film over both bedroom windows because both rooms were 7-9 degrees colder than the living room even while always keeping all doors open. The plastic that was once extremely tight now is bowed inward because so much air is coming in and creating positive pressure behind the plastic. For some unknown reason there is a fan in the heating system that never shuts off even when the system is turned off. Say you set the heat to 72, once it reaches 72 (in the living room) the air will continue to circulate through the vents without being heated so cool air can be felt coming from the vents. Again when you turn the heat/cooling system off a fan continues to run 24/7 which constantly covers the plastic on the windows with dust even while the entire apt is dusted weekly. Lastly we constantly run a humidifier due to electric heat and with only a 1/3 to maybe a 1/2 gallon of water run through the humidifier we need to clean it due to a black sediment covering the bottom of the humidifier. We don’t drink the water so it’s not a major concern but still not great for the rent that’s paid. Lastly there are no heat vents in the bathroom, there’s only 4 vents total for 1,000 sqf and the bathroom “exhaust fans” are on 24/7 and cannot be shut off I’m guessing that’s why there is no heat vent. Everything I spoke about was also mentioned to us by neighbors, especially the windows. On a positive note they recently swapped out a bunch of switches for dimmers so that’s pretty cool.

  Ambiguous clauses with respect to lease extension + inaccurately communicated terms verbally + no attempt to correct the issue + giving less favorable rates to renewals + manager constantly talking over me = 1 star review. Also, many times, I needed to take the stairs up multiple flights of stairs (elevator was down on multiple occasions) and building evacuated multiple times due to some CO2 or smoke alarm. (It's not fun to be outside in shorts in the freezing cold.) The units themselves are relatively new (which attracted me to the place initially) but the confluence of other issues, particularly contract issues, leave me with a poor opinion overall.

  I love this place. The property management is top notch and they clean every public area on a weekly basis. Communication is always consistent and polite. Edit: The new owners suck.
