I would never recommend living at Stone Farm to my worst enemy. I’m finishing up a year lease here and the last six months have complete hell.
Here’s the story:
About six months ago, they started a construction project at the community. There was very limited information sent out about what would be going on and what to expect in your apartment. On the very first day, we were the first unit they started on, And we were all woke into a saw blade coming through our wall (Super glad that we weren’t sleeping Against that wall!) The First email regarding the construction said to “take things off the wall because they might fall”. Nowhere did it say to cover all your items because they would get absolutely coated in sheet rock dust or that your room would have chunks of sheet rock strewn about. When I brought this to the attention of one of the construction managers, he pretty much said “your apartment complex should’ve told you to expect this”, which they obviously told us the bare minimum. We to this day are still gif ing sheet rock dust in nooks and cranny’s. And little did we know that was just the tip of the iceberg. Over the course of this project, he was very obvious. The workers were just gonna throw any debris or trash that was straight on the ground and not put in any effort to pick it up. This caused nails and sharp objects to be laying around all the walkways making it very unsafe for pets to walk and even humans or the duration of this project. I ended up having four nails and or screws in my car tires, all of which matched the nails and screws you could find all over the ground so there was no question that was a result of their lack of cleanup. For about four months, I played email, and phone tag and communicated in person Looking for something to be done about the lack of care for the cleanup. Stone farm just passed it all off on the construction company and didn’t want to take any responsibility and didn’t want to put any effort into making them clean it up better I have probably 20 emails and I’ve called over 30 times in the lack of response is infuriating. No one will take responsibility and they just say it’s a big project and it’s hard to clean everything up. This doesn’t even include the fact that they had to replace windows and doors and reseal them when it was 20° or less outside through the winter. I remember sitting at my dining room table with a coat hat and gloves on while eating lunch one day because there was snow literally blowing into my kitchen. We had multiple instances where workers left windows open during the winter at the end of the day so we would come home after work and there were windows open. Also had multiple instances where our front door was unlocked when we get home from work all of these instances were land reported to Stone farm for them to not do anything about it because they obviously happened again. I could find at least three different times an email chain is just gone dead and I’ve followed up multiple times with them and they failed to respond. I call no one picks up. I go to the office and no one’s ever there during the post office hours the head property manager is never actually on site. It’s always the assistant who doesn’t seem to be able to do anything. Regarding apartment entry, There would always be emails saying that the workers were coming to your Apartment on “x” day. They would never show up on the day they were supposed to and they would show up on other days where they weren’t supposed to. We would also only be notified about any initial work. There are multiple times we had that guys come knock on my door and say hey, we just have to look at something which was completely unscheduled and I know they would’ve done if we weren’t home. I truly chased these people for six months for not a single person to take any responsibility (or hardly reply!) for the nightmare, living conditions or the damage to my car tires.

I have lived here a year now. Since then our heater has not worked all winter. We were given two space heaters that greatly increased our bill and barely heat the apartment at all, our air conditioner broke and we are told there isn’t one in stock for months. I think ordering one might remedy that situation. The maintenance that work here keep saying work orders are completed and they aren’t. One worker that came in to look at our heater knelt on our carpet with oil all over their pants and got it all over .
Another worker hired to do the windows broke our blinds, said nothing and left. Everything is poorly cared for and expensive. There is paint peeling all over the bathroom and black mold . The cupboards below the sink are peeling although we wipe water off constantly because they didn’t paint them, they used a cheap stick on covering. Management and maintenance barely communicate , usually only to threaten to tow people’s cars . We pay for the most expensive model only to be told by maintenance that we have the oldest air conditioning, heater and screen door, that is also broken . We pay $2565 a month for a place that is falling apart. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They don’t care about their residents. Go anywhere but here.

As several others say, management is extremely unresponsive. We try contacting multiple times over email and phone to no response. We go to the office during business hours and no is there the majority of the times despite the listed office hours. Property manager avoids everyone and spends majority of their time at their Manchester location. Will give promises in person then never follow up.
This place is extremely unprofessional while charging a ridiculous amount for rent. Avoid at all costs.

Apartments are fine, clean and comfortable but overpriced. Management is unresponsive to residents. For the last few winter months the apartment complex has been under major renovations. Residents are not asked but informed that workers will enter their apartment, heat was turned off, windows and doors removed and re-done, etc. Overall, worst apartment management I have ever experienced.
EDIT: In response to owners message: I agree large construction projects are important for large facilities. The issue is communication. Emails sent from management were vague in explaining when, specifically why, and for how long projects would take. For example, Construction crews were in our apartment for 2 weeks and we had to learn the details of the projects from the construction company not Stone Farm management. If you are interested in resolving your residents complaints you have my email and phone number. Thanks

Apartments are good, maintenance is top notch, communication is... Terrible. I know at least one prospective tenant who gave up on renting there because no one would reply to his emails.
Only a few of my emails were answered and it was extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone by phone, and this includes the period when we were just trying to sign a lease. Really wish this could be improved.
