  I've had a great experience with Avalon Apartment Homes. The community is well-maintained, the staff is friendly and responsive, and any maintenance requests are handled quickly. The apartments are updated and comfortable, and the location is convenient to everything in Starkville. I would definitely recommend Avalon to anyone looking for a great place to live!

  As time goes on living at Avalon, I have mixed thoughts for a review. Ivy is great to work with and very responsive. She’s very communicative and helpful! As is her office staff. I have multiple issues with the maintenance - the quality of work they do, the timeliness in which they respond to things and the process to get things done. The amenities at Avalon are great, I feel very safe, and never have any issues with neighbors. Truly my main complaint is the maintenance team and how things are handled when it comes to them. I agree with others that there is nothing wrong with these apartments but I do believe there are things that need improvement.

  Avalon is my home away from home! I have not had any issues here. The front office staff are always very helpful! My appliances are updated and great use! This is the first time I've actually enjoyed cooking and relaxing in my own home. The gym and pool are GREAT!!!!

  I would not recommend these apartments. The units are very outdated—kitchen appliances are old, and there is visible rust on the dryer and sinks in both bathrooms. For the price (over $1,600/month), you would expect much better quality. Package delivery is also a major issue. There’s no reliable system or access code to retrieve packages, and items have gone missing more than once. I even went to the office about an important delivery, and the staff could not give me a clear answer—they said they were waiting on a manager. This has happened before with other orders as well. Additionally, cleanliness is a concern. Neighbors’ dogs frequently urinate in the breezeways, and the smell can become very unpleasant. Overall, the high rent does not match the condition of the apartments or the level of service provided.

  I loved living at Avalon apartment homes when I did!! Katie, Marquez, and Ivey are always helpful and willing to answer any questions that I had! I would recommend Avalon to anyone who needs a place to live in Starkville!!
