  I would not recommend this property based on my experience. The property is poorly maintained, and the gate has been broken for nearly two years, which is a serious security concern. My car was also broken into during my time here. There has also been frequent turnover in the office staff, with approximately eight different staff members during my time as a resident. For the amount of rent being charged, I expected better maintenance, security, and management. Unfortunately, the property has not met those expectations.

  Honestly, I would NOT recommend living here. The property is poorly maintained, and it seems like nothing ever gets fixed. The gate has been broken on and off for about two years, which is a major safety concern. My car was broken into, and I can’t help but feel that having a working, secure gate could have helped prevent situations like that. They’ve also gone through about 8 different office staff members, so there’s clearly a problem with management and consistency. The rent is way too high for the condition of this property and the lack of maintenance. For the amount they charge, you would expect better security, better communication, and a property that is actually taken care of. Definitely not worth the rent!

  I’ve had a really great experience with North Creek Apartments. The community is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The location is convenient, and I really appreciate the amenities and overall environment. The staff has also been friendly, professional, and helpful whenever I’ve had questions or needed assistance. Overall, North Creek is a nice place to call home, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable apartment community in Southaven.

  My family resided at North Creek for two years, and I can comfortably say that there are many reasons to avoid the property: a) Current management seems to be very dismissive to legitimate concerns of their residents. b) It's incredibly dark at night due to little to no lighting throughout the complex. c) Agency will claim a family friendly environment. Yet, (1) the complex reeks of marijuana. (2) If you're lucky, your neighbors will allow their dogs to urinate on the shared staircases & balconies and the aroma will remind you of New Orleans. Staff & Management also dismissed this concern multiple times. (3) Safety doesn't seem to be a concern as the gate was broken over half of our time there over the last two years. d) Generally speaking, the cost is not worth the benefit. We paid exuberant amounts of money for a one bedroom apartment and were consistently dismissed and ignored under the new management that took place over the summer. I believe in fair treatment and weighing both sides of an argument. Thus, I can also confidently say: a) The maintenance staff is absolutely PHENOMENAL. We never had an issue and all emergency requests were handled promptly. They are very respectful and mindful and communicate well. b) The location is BEAUTIFUL. However, I have seen videos as of two days ago that the creek is drained or low due to all of the fish dying in the creek somehow. This is a new development, and I haven't witnessed it myself since it didn't occur in my time there. c) The courtesy officer & community (generally speaking) are incredible. It all depends on your neighbors & the building, which is typical of apartments. I only rate two stars simply because of the conditions of our last few months and the pitiful way my family was treated toward the end of our lease. Unless management has changed, I would avoid North Creek Apartments, as much of the things we were sold on (Beauty, Seclusion, Safety, & Child-Friendly) have drastically changed under new management.
