  We just wanted to take a moment to recognize Gene and Tyrone here at The Met. Gene helped us today with an issue we were having in our bathroom, and he did an excellent job making sure the problem was looked at and taken care of. Some people might have treated it like a small issue or brushed it off, but Gene took it seriously and made sure we felt heard. He was professional, kind, and genuinely helpful. He even took the time to help me with a fridge issue that was completely unrelated to the original service request, which we really appreciated. We also want to mention Tyrone because since we moved here, he has always been such a great help around the community. He is friendly every time we see him and always seems to be in a good mood. Both Gene and Tyrone consistently go above and beyond for the residents here. I know for a fact I have seen Tyrone on Sundays picking up trash around the property when I am almost certain he was off work that day. That kind of dedication does not go unnoticed. As someone who has lived at multiple Heritage properties and has also served as a courtesy officer in the past, working hand in hand with property staff and maintenance teams, I can honestly say these guys stand out. They take pride in the community, they care about the residents, and they help make The Met feel like a place that is well cared for. The Met is very lucky to have Gene and Tyrone on the team, and they deserve to be recognized for the work they do.

  Looks good on the outside but this place is a joke! Parents do not allow your kids to live here.

  I lived in this apartment complex for 3 years. The first 2 years, we experienced no issues, although we were never given the renewal incentives that were promised every year we renewed the lease. The last year was horrible. I’m not sure when the management and front office staff changed, but the quality of service is extremely poor for the price of rent and monthly fees. Our dishwasher didn’t work for the last three months of our occupancy, even after multiple maintenance requests. Our washing machine would only work using cold water, even after multiple maintenance requests. We had water marks on ceilings and walls that were never addressed. We had mold in bathrooms that were covered with paint. We needed to stay 12 days after our lease ended, and we were charged almost $3,000 for that. When we saw the outstanding charge, we contacted the office immediately. Of course there was no explanation for the absurd charge, but we were offered a grace period to pay the amount by our last day of occupancy. A week later I came home to a court order for an eviction. Of course this caught me off guard, especially after we were told we had until our last day of occupancy to pay our absurd balance, but of course since we didn’t get the agreement for the grace period in writing no one could tell us why the eviction was filed. We payed the balance the next morning, and the eviction was terminated. We still had to pay “court and attorney fees” per the apartment. When we moved out there was no paperwork or checklist given as to what management wanted us to do, but of course we were emailed a list of “charges” for things we did not do. All in all the community is nice. The communication amongst staff and renters is horrible. I would advise any and all conversations to be recorded or at least have a paper trail while dealing with Management. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this property was predatory, but now I definitely have witnessed first hand how predatory they are. I wouldn’t recommend simply because of the hassle and lack of consideration or care.

  I love living at The Met! Maintenance is great, the office staff is friendly, and I love the amenities!

  I’ve been living here for 7 months. Upstairs neighbor has been stomping and dropping heavy objects for the entirety of my stay + dogs barking and running. I’ve made over 20 complaints by call and email, and in person. Apartment management has told me they can’t do anything to resolve. They won’t let me break the lease without penalty. And won’t even waive the $500 fee to transfer to a different unit. Absolute joke. Make sure you read all the 1 star reviews.
