My husband and I moved back to MS Gulf Coast after he retired, this area is home for me. We needed to lease an apartment for 6 months to a year so we can look for house to purchase. I enjoyed our stay at Grand Biscayne, leasing 3-bedroom unit. The interior itself is somewhat dated but functional and roomy. The office staff was always professional, helpful and pleasant especially Ali and Jena. Maintenance crew was fast, responding same day of request as I met Ben, Branden and Tab. Lots of activities on campus to keep everyone engaged, especially food trucks and the pool stayed clean and inviting. Apartment living definitely has its perks and we took advantage of every single one of them. We ended our lease since buying a house 2 months ago, but I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at Grand Biscayne and I will pop in later on to say "hey" to office staff. One negative note I encountered was that some residents did not pick up after their dogs. This lack of effort on dog owners creates an unsanitary, unhealthy, gross and smelly environment for the rest of us. A suggestion for Grand Biscayne management is to install area cameras to catch and fine these irresponsible individuals.

When we first moved in, we were so excited. It was our first apartment as a young family, and we even welcomed our first baby there. Unfortunately, our experience with management completely changed how we felt about living there. By the end of our lease, we were counting down the days until we could move out, and I would not recommend this complex based on our experience. Throughout our lease, we dealt with repeated maintenance issues that were often temporarily patched instead of properly repaired. Our front door and patio door leaked every time it rained, causing hundreds of dollars in damage to our furniture. We were told to file an insurance claim instead of being reimbursed, but that wasn't possible because we no longer had receipts. Our A/C also failed numerous times, and despite multiple service calls, the issue kept returning. One maintenance employee even suggested there was likely a leak causing the unit to work harder and increasing our electric bill, but the problem was never fully resolved. We also had flooring that peeled up and became a tripping hazard for our toddler, and the initial repair left part of the floor missing before it was eventually fixed. There were also ongoing quality-of-life concerns. We frequently smelled marijuana inside our apartment, sometimes strongly enough that we left with our infant to stay with family. We regularly found cigarillo wrappers around the property, our vehicles were broken into shortly after moving in, and we were told there were no security cameras available to help. The pool area was also often unsupervised, with children using inappropriate language and behaving disruptively without any noticeable follow-up. My biggest advice to anyone moving here is to document absolutely everything. Take photos during move-in, report every issue in writing, and attend the final walk-through if possible. We were charged for light bulbs that we had purchased ourselves after replacing several burned-out bulbs shortly after moving in. We were also charged for pool passes after being told over the phone they did not need to be returned. I referred several people to this complex over the years and was disappointed by how our concerns were handled. While everyone may have a different experience, ours left us feeling unheard and frustrated.

I recently relocated to the area for work. The apartment is centrally located with easy access to the highway. Jena showed me around the property and took extra time to help me familiarize myself with the area. She even stayed late on a Friday night to help me finalize my lease and move in before the weekend. Jena was smiling, friendly, helpful and a big reason why I chose to live here. Thanks so much Jena!!!
