Move in day: I moved in July 2026 and received the free one month rent special. The first day I moved in I was notified that a pipe had busted and it was getting handled immediately. They drilled a hole to make an open panel door in the bathroom. I continued with the move in process since I was reassured by Danielle that everything was handled. Once I began cleaning the unit that same day, I noticed 4 cockroaches. I was immediately disgusted. (This is my first apartment in St. Louis so I was not warned not move in here) I had to have the maintenance request pest control every week to every other week. I used the foggers and tried to self treat the cockroaches in my apartment, but it was bad. The pest control came and treated the apartment but it took until August for it actually work. I didn’t move any of my items in till August. Along with the cockroach infestation, it was a flooding/leaking problem. The kitchen sink was leaking and got fixed within a week. Near the front door it was always water bubbling from underneath the floor. The humidity levels were high in my unit and it would be a puddle of water festering almost every 2-3 hours. I constantly had to change out towels to collect it. The solution that maintenance did was just put a fan to dry up the floor and carpet, but the leak didn’t stop. It took them about a month to fix the leak which they figured out since the business below my unit complained of leaks. Other than that, my requests were getting dismissed aka “maintenance request completed”. My dishwasher was replaced thankfully and the leak stopped. But next, I found mold in my kitchen cabinet. The leasing agent Danielle insisted I didn’t jump to conclusions and to request maintenance to handle it. Mind you all this has happened in my first month of living in this building. The maintenance came and looked at the mold and touched it/dusted it and said it’s not mold it’s dust. He came to paint over it and then a day later the mold tripled in the cabinet. Every time I open the cabinet I get headaches and currently, I usually have a runny/stuffy nose and sneeze so much whenever I’m in my unit. PLEASE steer far far away from this building. The leasing agent Danielle is nice in the beginning especially during the tours, but sadly they just dismiss your problems when you bring them to their attention. I’ve spoken to other residents in the building and they have all complained about the leaks and most definitely cockroaches. I’ve seen cockroaches in the hallways, laundry rooms, mailroom, and on the elevator (one fell from the ceiling of the elevator almost falling on me). I’m not a complainer but I feel like this company has taken advantage of me. I tried to mutually terminate my lease of occupying the unit only for 4 days. The leasing agent Danielle said I can do that, but it would be expensive. I suggested it would be around $5000-6000 and she agreed. But I literally moved in not paying anything and due to these conditions I thought I could definitely be able to leave with at least some lower cost especially since I didn’t have to pay them any fee due to the special offer. I’m moving out and just taking the fees because these living conditions are not good. AT LEAST BE VERY VERY AWARE OF EVERYTHING. Yes, they are renovating things in the building but trust me it’s been no change in the conditions.
