Beacon has been great with communication! I have been speaking with Heather and she has been a pleasure to communicate with. Very smooth process with the lease and I am looking forward to moving in!

Save your money. My friends and I chose to live at Beacon because of its close proximity to campus as well as the free printing lab. However, after living there for a year, I can say that it was definitely not worth the high price tag. Unless you are specifically looking for a "rent by the room" type of situation, you can find much more updated and better looking apartments for much less per roommate...and all with the same amenities plus more. While Beacon sounds and looks great from first glance, by the end of the year my friends, my boyfriend, and I were all in agreement that it was a total joke and wished that we had chose somewhere else to live. Not one of us renewed our leases. We had many issues in our apartment throughout the year some of which were fixed and others were not. Our dryer broke and had to be replaced, no complaints there. Our washer then broke shortly after, and when maintenance came to "fix" it they left a huge mess in our apartment and I even have the pictures to prove it. Our dishwasher also broke. When we first moved in there was a hole in one of the kitchen cabinets that they claimed they would fix...they never did. Our "tv stand" was also just a piece of counter top with no cabinet doors. Not the type of quality that you would think you'd get paying $2,400 a month between the 4 roommates. Also, on more than one occasion the front office lady tried to act as though my boyfriends REGISTERED support dog did not live at Beacon whenever there were potential new renters around saying to them "oh we don't allow pets and he doesn't actually live here." They had all of the correct paperwork including a doctors note so it was quite annoying when that happened. As for the rest of the staff like Les and Steve, they were attentive and friendly throughout the year so I have no complaints there. While there are many more things that I could bring up, as a whole, I honestly do NOT recommend living at Beacon unless you are specifically looking for somewhere that is "rent by the room" or if walking to campus is your only option. There are much more affordable options for living with roommates, and I wish that we had explored more options before deciding on Beacon. ****this is an edit being made after their response to me**** This review, contrary to what their response says, was NOT left as a negative “response” to any move out charges. As they said my move out charges were exceptionally small, and on top of this I was FULLY aware that I would be receiving them well before they ever sent out the final statement. I left this review to HELP others. Google reviews was the first place I looked when doing research on Beacon as I’m sure it is the same for others. My review was not left out of spite for a move out charge...it is 100% my true and real opinion from my time at Beacon. Do your research, tour the property, ask around, and form your own opinions. I simply shared about my personal experience at Beacon and in my opinion it is not worth the high price tag.
