  I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lakecation Vacations as a small plumbing business owner. I was called out for an emergency water leak at one of their rental properties, driving nearly two hours one way to help resolve the issue. I completed the work in good faith under the impression that I was working through Lakecation Vacations directly, only to later be told I was supposedly expected to bill the homeowner instead. The problem is the homeowners themselves had no idea about this arrangement because Lakecation Vacations apparently never communicated that to them either. After the work was completed, I spent nearly a year trying to get answers and payment on an invoice over $500. What made the situation even more frustrating was being told directly by Tia that she had received the invoice, yet nothing was resolved. Communication was poor, responses were inconsistent, and I was repeatedly left without answers despite following up numerous times. Claiming to simply be a “third party” that only places calls for homeowners does not match the way this job was presented to me at all. As a one-man plumbing business, situations like this seriously impact my livelihood, time, fuel costs, and ability to trust future work opportunities. I would strongly caution other contractors and vendors to get EVERYTHING in writing before accepting work connected to Lakecation Vacations.

  We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lakefront property! The location was perfect — waking up to the beautiful water views every morning was so relaxing. The private dock was a huge highlight for us and made it incredibly easy to enjoy spending time on the lake all day long. The house itself was spotless when we arrived and clearly very well cared for. Everything felt fresh, comfortable, and welcoming. One of the best parts was the fully stocked kitchen — it truly had everything we needed to cook meals for our group, from cookware to utensils and plenty of space to gather together. The home was both cozy and spacious, with comfortable beds and great indoor and outdoor areas to relax. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and beautiful lake getaway!

  Booked our bachelorette trip with this company and didn’t have any issues. The house was close to all the bars we wanted to go to and our boat captain was Diane and she was amazing. Highly recommend booking her as your captain for your boat tour around the lake of the ozarks. The house was very clean and perfect place to relax and hangout with my bridal party. Highly recommend booking with this company for another trip.

  We recently stayed with Lakecation Vacations at the Lake of the Ozarks and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The property was absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. You could truly tell that great attention was given to every detail. The booking process was incredibly easy and stress-free, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our last-minute add-on requests. Their communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail were second to none and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and will absolutely continue to use Lakecation Vacations whenever we visit the Lake of the Ozarks. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a seamless, high-quality vacation experience!

  Our trip turned out ok, but it was unfortunately so stressful to plan which is why overall it was just ok 3/5. First, we did not end up staying at this unit because the team messaged saying there were sump pump issues. The team did offer to place our group in 2 smaller units but then had issues with one of those units so had to offer a different one. The Lakecation team members were relatively quick to respond, however it became extremely frustrating that I could not get a confident answer. We were told we “should” be able to check in at noon and the door code “should” be ____ but both of those were wrong. There were no issues in the unit once we could finally get in and the maid was finished. Our stay would have been much less of a headache if we could have gotten some straight forward answers. I am however very grateful that the boat and charter package worked out. <$500 total for a pontoon ride that fit up to 12 people was an absolute steal and we are thankful for Captain Diane for turning our trip around. That being said, I would likely recommend a different host as this team was unorganized and not helpful in the planning process.
