I lived in a bottom-floor studio here for about a year, and I simply cannot recommend this property to anyone. When we signed our lease, there wasn’t a studio model available for us to view, so we viewed the one bedroom instead. That wasn’t a huge deal to us at the time. We were excited about moving and didn’t think much of it. The day we moved in, we were shown around the apartment, got our keys, and immediately noticed the upstairs neighbors’ footsteps. At first, it didn’t seem that bad. I honestly think I was just too excited and overwhelmed with the move to really process it. About a month later, the stomping gradually became worse and worse. Every time our upstairs neighbors walked… more accurately, stomped, the baseboards would literally creak. It sounded like something underneath them had been snapped in half. The entire ceiling would squeak, and our furniture would actually shake. We tried to be understanding because obviously we can’t expect people to tiptoe around their own apartment. Eventually, I requested a transfer and explained exactly why, including video proof showing how disruptive the noise was to our daily lives. I was told that we could only upgrade or downgrade apartments. Since we were already in a studio, downgrading wasn’t an option, so upgrading was our only choice. We were paying almost $1,100 a month at the time, and the upgrade would have brought our rent to around $1,400 a month. we ended up deciding to tough it out. Then winter came. Our front door literally iced shut (see photos), and our heat was running constantly because the insulation in the apartment was so poor. When we eventually submitted our nonrenewal, they asked why. We explained that the stomping had gotten so bad that we couldn’t even sleep at night, nap, relax, or simply come home and enjoy our apartment in peace. I specifically mentioned the baseboards squeaking and sounding like they were damaged. We were told maintenance would come take a look. Maintenance never showed up. And then, somehow, there was another surprise. About a week after submitting our nonrenewal, we were informed that we apparently had not been paying our pet fees because they had never been included when our lease was originally set up. We were then told that we owed $250 in back pet fees… two days before rent was due… because apparently the mistake had gone unnoticed for approximately nine months. Overall, our experience here was extremely frustrating. We tried to communicate our concerns, provided documentation, and tried to stick it out rather than immediately breaking our lease. We didn’t feel like our concerns were taken seriously. DO. NOT. RENT. HERE. And if you do, be careful. If you’re sensitive to noise, I would strongly recommend getting a top-floor apartment so you aren’t dealing with upstairs footsteps constantly. Most importantly, KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS, EMAILS, VIDEOS, AND DOCUMENTATION. Save everything. Whisper Hollow may look nice on the outside, but our experience was that management was much more concerned with collecting money than addressing the issues we were actually experiencing

Please do not live here! I’m on my sixth day/night of not having ac in 94 degree days! Mind you this is the six problem we have had with the ac in our apartment. In stead of replacing or permanently fixing the problem they just keep doing quick fixes. We have not been offered money off our rent, a hotel voucher, not nothing! And this is just one of the many problems we have had over the three years we have stayed here including pest problems at one point! Do not waste your hard earned money on these apartment! You will regret it!

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the experience my family and I had with Whisper Hollow Apartments and its management team. I strongly advise anyone considering Whisper Hollow Apartments to proceed with extreme caution. Based on our experience, the property demonstrated poor communication, lack of transparency, failure to plan responsibly, refusal to take accountability, and deeply unprofessional treatment of future tenants. Nearly two months ago, we signed a lease agreement, paid all required fees and deposits, and completed every step necessary for our scheduled move-in. Our official move-in date was confirmed for today. However, less than 12 hours before the move, we were suddenly informed by email that the apartment was not ready and that the move-in date was now “tentative,” with no confirmed timeline provided. The reason given was that the city inspection had failed due to unresolved pest control issues a problem that should have been addressed by management well before our move-in date. The inspection itself was apparently scheduled only right before move-in, which reflects extremely poor planning and negligence on the management’s part. At no point during the leasing process were we informed that the move-in date was tentative. We signed a lease agreement in good faith and made major life arrangements based on that contract. We terminated our previous lease, packed and moved our belongings, arranged transportation, transferred utilities such as electricity and Wi-Fi, and prepared our family for the move based entirely on the date provided by Whisper Hollow Apartments. Because of management’s failure to properly prepare the apartment, my family is now left without stable housing. What made this experience even worse was the unprofessional and dismissive behavior of the management staff, especially Francesca Castillo. Rather than showing empathy or offering meaningful solutions, we were treated rudely and with complete disregard for the seriousness of the situation. There was no accountability, urgency, or genuine concern shown despite the fact that this issue resulted entirely from management’s failure to fulfill its obligations. Additionally, we were initially informed that our fees and deposit would be refunded. Later, management reversed that statement and informed us that even the approximately $450 in application-related fees would not be returned. Even front desk staff acknowledged that at least part of the amount should reasonably be refunded, but management still refused. This entire experience has caused significant emotional stress, financial hardship, and disruption to our lives. No tenant should ever be informed at the last minute that their leased apartment is unavailable after waiting under contract for two months. Say NOOOO to Whisper Hollow Apartments if you value honesty, professionalism, and peace of mind.

Upon moving out they charged us $400 to replace an entire oven/stove unit because of minor damage to a single stove burner. Along with that after thoroughly cleaning the apartment they charged us another $300 in cleaning fees. They were very difficult to work with in trying to get context for these charges. Would not recommend renting with them, unless you plan on never moving out.
