  I lived at Barton for one year, and unfortunately it was one of the worst rental experiences I've had. 1. **The rent is very high** for what the property offers. 2. **They charge tenants for almost everything.** If a faucet breaks, you're responsible. If a light bulb burns out, you're responsible. Even normal wear and tear is billed to the tenant, often at excessive rates. For example, I was charged **$40 just to replace a standard light bulb.** 3. **The walls are extremely thin.** You can hear nearly everything from neighboring apartments, making it difficult to enjoy any privacy or quiet. 4. **The parking garage is poorly designed.** Parking spaces are very narrow, and the pillars, floor, and ceiling are not clearly marked or painted, making them blend together. It's easy to scrape or hit a pillar while parking. 5. **Management is inflexible.** I was charged a **$200 late fee** because my rent payment was only **one hour late**. It didn't matter that it was a one-time mistake—there was no willingness to make an exception. 6. **Expect significant move-out charges.** I was billed nearly **$700** when I moved out. They replaced the cooktop cover and then also charged me a separate trash removal fee for disposing of the old cover. I was charged **$50 just to throw the old cooktop cover away**, in addition to the replacement cost. Overall, I would not recommend this apartment. The high rent, excessive maintenance and move-out charges, poor sound insulation, difficult parking, and rigid management made it a disappointing place to live.

  They completed my repair almost within seconds of me asking if they could look into my issue. The service tech left me a note that the repair was completed. I am very impressed with then response professionalism.

  I’ve had a great experience living here, and part of that is thanks to the outstanding maintenance team—Scott and Lorenzo. They are incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help. Anytime I’ve had an issue in my apartment, they’ve responded quickly and gone above and beyond to find the best solution. It’s clear they truly care about the residents and take pride in their work. The entire property is very well maintained. The building, grounds, and even the stairwells are consistently kept in excellent condition, which really adds to the overall living experience. The apartments are in a safe area and conveniently located near stores and restaurants, making everyday errands easy and accessible. Overall, this is a nice, safe place to live with a strong sense of care and attention from the staff. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-kept community.

  We live in the Barton right now. We moved in a few months ago. The team there made everything very easy for us. If we have an issue that we need help with, the staff is always there to assist. And if the offices are closed early for whatever reason (like the staff Christmas party!), they are very good about communicating that to residents. Highly recommend!
