Ashley gave me a thorough tour of the facility. She was friendly, helpful, and and answered all my questions. I actually liked the 4300 (older, white) buildings the best. Lots of closets and I loved the decks looking out onto mature pine trees. Nevertheless, I chose to stay in my current apartment and save myself the disruption of another move.

It has been great living at Joppa Lana Apartments. Maintenance requests are addressed promptly, and the entire complex is quiet and well maintained.

We are about to move out after living here for 3 years, and we have loved our time here. It’s a lovely quiet neighborhood that’s so close to everything. The buildings are older but in great shape. The fact that they’re essentially built of a cinderblock frame means you can’t hear ANYTHING from your neighbors. I literally haven’t heard a peep from the apartment next to us in 3 years, and that means there’s built in sound proofing between rooms within your home too.
The one major downside to the 2888 building is that the elevator goes down all the time - HOWEVER, I have heard that they will be fully replacing it in 2026! But if stairs are hard for you, I’d wait until it’s replaced. This has been the only major maintenance issue in 3 years, and we’ve never had any major issues with the office staff.
The Only reason we are moving is because we wanted in-unit laundry and central air. If you can live without this, Joppa is a wonderful home. You really can’t beat the price for the location and size of the apartments.
