We gave notice to move out, and management offered to let us ‘spread out’ the termination fee — but what they failed to disclose was that this would lock us into paying for additional months, ultimately costing us much more. It felt like we were robbed at a time when we could least afford it. They knew our situation, they knew we needed out as soon as possible — yet instead of being honest, they deceived us and took advantage of our situation.
