Here’s been my experience from my time with this apartment: - The apartments overall are nice and have renovated appliances and countertops. - Maintenance responses were always quick so that is a plus. - Neighbors there were usually very nice. - Decent amount of outdoor parking. However, the amenities - especially the gym in the 9650 building are subpar and could use an upgrade for the price they charge for rent now. - My HVAC system has been inconsistent for the past year and my AC has stopped working twice since I started living here and heating stopped working once this winter. Maintenance was always responsive to fix it though so that was a plus. - parking spaces in the garage for SUVs were tight. - I didn’t notice until I moved in but my bedroom had no overhead light. - Subpar water pressure. - In the 9650 building specifically I can name several times the hot water randomly went out over the past year. - Walls are pretty thin and insulation was not great especially from the windows I could hear every dog barking outside and hear my downstairs neighbors walking around. Overall I think it’s a decent place to live but just not for as high of price as they charge.

I’m very sad to be taking the time to write out our experiences. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review. (I even had to cut it down because it was too long.) My partner and I have lived at Waterstone Place for about a year. We love the location, the unit style and setup, and our view of the wetland (which is why this review gets 2 stars instead of 1). The first month was amazing… before new management took over. Since then, we have had an abundance of issues with minimal to no response from management. The paint job done in October was horrendous. Paint on balconies are already chipped and peeling, dead ladybugs are now permanently affixed to the balcony walls, and there are large drips of black paint degrading our beautiful view of the wetland, which was one of the reasons we were willing to spend more to live here. We immediately contacted management about this, and after inquiring for some time, a month, I was told they were figuring things out. After another month of pestering, I was able to meet with the property manager Jake. He told me that there were many issues with the recent painting, and that he planned to hire window cleaners or have the paint company come back to fix the issues once it was warm enough in the spring. You can probably guess what never happened. Unfortunately, that was not the end of our window issues. In early November (11/11), we had noticed that one of our windows was not sitting properly in its tracks and had a plastic piece that had fallen out of place. We put in a maintenance request and it was “fixed”. Well, not much later in late November (11/26) we were awoken in the middle of the night to a terrifying sound. That same window had been blown into our unit because one of the mounting brackets was broken. Maintenance came to look, but they didn’t have the right part to fix it. Our window was held into place with tape and braced by furniture for a full month, during winter, before the new bracket came in and was installed. Not to mention that when it was installed, they only put in one out of two screws (so not fully fixed) and put it OVER the tape that had been holding it in place. The window in our bedroom also has a latch that doesn’t work. We were told that the window is bowed so the fix was “as good as it’s going to get”. Flash forward to May. We were expecting to get our lease renewal offer At Least 2 months before the end of our lease, since that is the minimum notice to vacate that tenants can give landlords. No such luck. It took us emailing them mid June to finally get a renewal offer - one that raises base rent by 5%, requires their Fiber Stream internet, and that adds a fee for a garage space (which was required to have and offered free when we first signed the lease). Mind you, the majority of the work completed in the past year has devalued units on the property. We immediately reached out to management to inquire about the fixes to the paint on our window and had questions about the requirements for garage parking, now that it comes at a cost. It has been 5 weeks. We have emailed them, called numerous times, and visited the office several times a week. The property manager has never been in. We even tried calling a different property where he was said to be, and despite closing at 6, the office was closed at 5. We just want to have our concerns addressed. To top it all off, our 4th of July was spent on the phone with emergency maintenance as water trickled in from our bay window that doesn’t even open. (Our neighbor had the same issue as well!) We were told the weather stripping may have been installed incorrectly, and that they would have vendors take a look at the window. The last correspondence we got regarding this window issue was on Thursday July 9th. Nothing since. We don’t mean to be rude or difficult, but I feel like we at least deserve some sort of communication regarding all these issues before resigning. Jake, if you’re reading this, my partner and I would love to sit down and talk through our concerns. Please let us know when you will be around.

The new internet you are forcing us to pay for is not good. Also if you’re going to have the sprinklers going all the time (we get rain here) you should probably get the grass cut more than once a month. With that said- love the apartment itself. Very spacious, and the new renovations to the outside of the buildings and parking lot are excellent.
