If you’re considering renting through Bigos Management, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Our experience at Regency Woods has been frustrating at best and deeply unprofessional at worst, across multiple situations, not just a one-off issue.
Before we even moved in, there were red flags during the application process. Something appeared on my background report that should not have been there, and the way it was handled was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. When my partner tried to resolve it, it became obvious that leasing staff had been discussing my personal and private information internally. No one said it outright, but the tone and behavior made it clear. That kind of lack of discretion is unacceptable, your personal information should never feel like office gossip.
Things didn’t improve after move-in. When my partner transferred units within the property in 2025, we asked for an extra one to two days to complete the move due to a holiday. At no point were we told there would be any charges (we didn’t ask about charges as we were moving within the property and didn’t think to ask). Later, they attempted to charge for those days by withholding his entire security deposit. Only after we pushed back did they admit they couldn’t enforce it since it wasn’t in writing, but they still kept nearly everything, returning about $27. It felt dishonest and opportunistic.
We also experienced a serious water issue that made our kitchen unusable. What followed was one of the most frustrating parts of this entire experience. There was no urgency, no proactive communication, and we had to repeatedly follow up just to confirm the issue was even being addressed, to which the leasing agents were rude and dismissive. When they finally responded, over five days later, it resulted in essentially no resolution, no support, and no acknowledgment of how disruptive the situation was.
To make matters worse, days after the initial flooding, someone entered our apartment related to this issue without any notice or consent. We were not informed beforehand and only discovered it after the fact. That is a serious violation of privacy and completely unacceptable.
To be fair, the property itself is beautiful, which makes this even more disappointing. With every passing month, it’s clear that Bigos is not maintaining it properly. Instead of addressing issues the right way, they rely on temporary “band-aid” fixes. Major problems, especially plumbing, are repeatedly handled in-house rather than by licensed professionals. We were told outside vendors are only brought in after the same issue happens multiple times, meaning something serious can happen two or three times before it’s actually fixed correctly.
Even maintenance staff have acknowledged that quality has declined and that they’re no longer allowed to use trusted outside vendors because Bigos prioritizes the cheapest option. That mindset shows in the results.
Across every interaction, the pattern has been the same: poor communication, lack of transparency, disregard for tenant privacy, and decisions that prioritize cost over quality. Based on everything we’ve experienced, I would not recommend renting through Bigos Management.
