  When looking for a new apartment two months ago I decided to check out The Churchill. While touring, the building was secure, well kept, and every staff member was really friendly. The units are older but really well maintained and honestly I prefer them over the cookie cutter "luxury" apartments that over charge. Seeing the interactions Ginny had with some of the residents and maintenance staff while showing me the building made applying that same day an easy choice! She seems to be a property manager that genuinely cares about her community. Finally moved in and looking forward to life at The Churchill!

  We’ve lived in the Churchill for years, and we really like it. The views are great, every unit has a good-sized balcony, the rooms are pretty spacious, and there’s decent storage/closet space for an urban apartment. Can’t beat the location. The staff is awesome—very responsive to any issues that come up or requests you may have; maintenance items are handled right away; and they’re all so nice. They’re always throwing little parties for the residents or just making popcorn in the lobby, and they make a point of learning people’s names and chatting as you come and go. It’s a great little community here. My only minor downside is that parts of the units are a little out of date (e.g., popcorn ceilings), some of the updates feel kinda cheap, and the windows are older and difficult to open or close. I assume that the corporate overlords (and not the building staff) are responsible for putting off any truly costly cosmetic upgrades; but the day-to-day maintenance is taken very seriously. My minor complaints are very much outweighed by all the great things about living here! We’d continue to live here indefinitely if we hadn’t had a second kid and decided to buy a house.

  I lived at the Churchill for 6 months and while I enjoyed the views and amenities I had a number of issues with how the complex was managed. First, the communication with the management team was abysmal. when I had questions regarding items like rent or amenities I would email to the team. Not once, did I receive a response to my questions. They were responsive when we were communicating about moving in but after that it was non existent. Second, since they require rental insurance I followed their instructions and uploaded it to the portal, they seemed to ignore it and charge me for their rental insurance each month which was included in the rent. I would not recommend unless you really like living in downtown for the same price as a monthly mortgage payment.

  I have lived at the Churchill for 3.5 years. We just moved out since we bought a condo. Our experience at the Churchill was positive. There has been a turnover in staff during the time we lived there, but the crew they have in the front office now is fantastic! They were always friendly towards my husband and I. We lived in 3 different apartments in the building, spending the last 3 years in 2 different apartments on the 24th floor. The views on the river side are spectacular, and we loved the balconies in the summer. There is a lot of storage space in the units we had and the utility expense was very low. The housekeeping staff were the same 4 people during the entire 3.5 years and they worked tirelessly and consistently keeping the building and grounds clean and orderly. The maintenance staff fixed any problems we had (that were very few) usually within hours of being notified. We also loved the convenience of being on the river, near all the offerings of downtown, the north loop and the northeast. We leave the Churchill with only happy memories!!!
