TL;DR: My heat has been out for half the month and nothing has been done thus far.
I have lived here a few years now. I was initially drawn to the utilities being included in the rent and that is nice. And so is having in unit W/D as well as a dishwasher. The building doesn't really have much amenities, there's a rooftop that thankfully just opened back up after about 6 months and a room with some gym equipment.
I'm glad to hear other people have felt supported by management and maintenance but that has not been my experience. As someone who has consistently done what is expected as a renter; pay rent on time, follow the terms of my lease, I expect management to do what is expected of them. First, the cleanliness of the building and on the property is horrible. Very few people clean up their dog shit and I have on multiple times witnessed it inside, but I guess if the carpet is already dirty all the time, what's the point. The smells are expected in an apartment building, but cigarettes feel a touch too far.
My bike got stolen out of the garage (it's Minneapolis, it happens) and it was claimed that I needed a court order see the footage, when in a previous building they actually worked with me to try to recover.
And finally my heat has been off for half the month and management has been made aware. My maintenance request wasn't responded to until I sent a follow up email. I was not given proper notice that maintenance was finally going to enter my unit (1 hour morning of vs 24 hours Ordinance 504B.211) The guy went through the unit and tested the heat for an hour to see if it raised (it didn't). He then said someone would follow up with me, they didn't. I saw him in the hallway a different day and was told that thankfully it's been warm, but it's still Minnesota and the temps still get very cold despite this false spring weather we've been having. I finally got my own thermometer as suggested by a lawyer and temperatures have consistently been below legal temps (Minneapolis Ordinance 244.430) in my unit. When I asked for a rent concession it was denied despite there being documentation of me being without heat for half the month now. All together a pretty shitty experience and no need for Lyndy to respond with the fake concerned comment unless you're going to honor a rent concession.

I lived here for a short period and the stay was very pleasant. My favorite part is the view of downtown from the sitting area on floor 6R.
In the leasing office, Logan is an awesome, diligent, kind, always helpful and extremely easy to work with on various things. Thanks Logan for everything!

Bait and switch rental. Offered one bedroom apartment with month of free rent. Advertised unit and deal not available- But there's a studio available at a higher price than the one bedroom they have listed. A week later they are still offering the one bedroom that is no longer available. I understand these kind of people will do anything, say anything to rent an apartment. They will lie through their teeth to get your name on a lease. Its what they do.
