Living above the garage comes with constant noise that management never discloses. You can hear the garage door opening and closing at all hours, and in the winter it cycles repeatedly when snow builds up—sometimes nonstop.
Maintenance response is frustratingly slow. It often takes multiple requests to get even basic issues addressed. I went several weekends without heat during below-zero temperatures, and there was no sense of urgency to fix it. The on-call maintenance response was especially disappointing—they told me I would just have to wait, despite the dangerous conditions.
Communication from the office is also lacking. Residents are not properly informed about building issues that directly affect them.
For the amount of rent charged, the experience does not match the cost. I would not recommend living here.

I came and visited a friend here. The grounds looked amazing, and the office staff were super friendly and offered me drinks. Even though I’m not a resident. Great customer service! Would recommend anyone to check this place out. I also want to give a special shout out to Jasmin. She was incredibly responsive, and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. It’s rare to find someone who is both professional and genuinely kind. She made a big difference in my experience.

The cost of sewer, water, trash is insane. It keeps going up and the rent isn’t worth the amenities. Everyone who works at Cedars Lakeside is very nice, but not worth the price to live here. Residents are not supposed to smoke in their apartment but they do. I don’t care if people smoke, but I don’t want to smell it in my apartment (which I do everyday) it’s gross!

This was the first apartment I had rented in a very long time. I lived in a house for many years so I didn't know what to expect. I lived at Cedars Lakeside for 17 months and waited to write a review until after I moved out.
My building faced the woods so it was very quiet. Whenever I had a question or concern the manager, Julian, was very quick to respond. I rarely needed maintenance but when I did, they were also very quick to address what needed to be fixed. My deposit was promptly mailed to me within 3 weeks of my moving out. The move in and move out process was seamless.
Rent is expensive wherever you go. Considering the market, I felt this was a better deal than what was available in other apartments in the area. I felt safe and access to the interstate was nice.
