  My only complaints are two: 1) Poor noise control between floors - I'd give that only three stars and 2) My apartment kitchen has flooded twice due to someone above me pouring grease or some similar product down the kitchen pipes; maintenance did great job of quickly cleaning all up and I do not expect it willl happen again. Otherwise I love the place, its amenities and particularly my view of the woods and wildlife from my bay windows. Excellent manager and head of maintenance.

  Its quiet and kept extremely clean. Well maintained older building. Underground parking is awesome. Lot's of wildlife surrounding the building so be prepared for wild kingdom show daily. Very cool to see turkeys, coyotes, and deer all within a few hours.

  Vernon Oaks is very pretty and now has charm. My criticism is that they allow people to keep old furniture and folded down boxes on the balconies. And they started a carpet project last year but they didn't finish it. They just put in a snug movie theater with cushy leather recliners and a popcorn 🍿 machine. The pool is deep, and fresh water is poured into it every morning and it's heated. Don't expect the residents to keep their distance especially not at all the lovely parties they host throughout the year including Turkey and Ham dinner for Christmas 🎁. It just needs to be cared for,loved and cherished.

  I felt welcomed, received help when I couldn't get information off my cell phone, and generally was given information on the apartment, residents and apartment activities. It was a warm start to my new home.
