  SAFETY is our biggest concern and that’s why we are writing this as a group. My roommates and I have compiled this list over the last several years while living at campus park. The accommodations and amenities at campus park are nice and we have had some positive experiences here BUT keep reading and make sure to read over your lease carefully if you choose to live here. 1. People enter whenever and might leave the front door unlocked or just wide open: One of us decided to live here during the summer so they extended their lease and it was a big mistake. Maintenance and cleaning would come in several times a week for pretty much the entire summer. We understand that they have to clean vacant rooms and stuff when some roommates moved out for the summer (because they need to collect all those ridiculous cleaning fees even though they are all moving back in once fall comes around) but the frequency of entry into the apartment was absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. They will send you an email saying that they will randomly enter your home and give you a two month period and just come whenever and it will be OFTEN. Not sure how this counts as reasonable notice? Our roommate was living there alone during the summer and they felt very unsettled because they didn’t know when people would be in the apartment even though they were the only one living there. Management doesn’t let you know when people are entering or leaving your apartment. Workers also left the door unlocked after entering the apartment not once but TWICE!!! One time the door was just wide open. Our roommate had been gone for several days… so there was no way of knowing how long the door had been wide open for. They called to complain and it just happened again. Our door was crappy but they refused to fix it and it kept being left open. 2. Unsafe situation with lost keys: During the school year, our roommate lost their key once. Management was extremely unhelpful and they didn’t get a new key for two weeks. Management would say they were going to call them back and then just wouldn’t. They would quote them different prices each time (once it was $250… it ended up being $50 just so everyone knows). Because of this we had to leave our door unlocked for two weeks so this roommate could obviously get in. Campus park really needs to have a better system in place for if this happens. It was like they had never dealt with someone losing a key before. 3. Maintenance doesn’t always know what they are doing and they peed all over our toilet?!: It seemed like some of the maintenance workers didn’t always know what they were doing. There are things in our apartment that don’t quite work right (the front door for example) and they will just say that’s normal or you will have to submit another request to have them look at it again and hope it’s someone different. Oh, and one of them peed all over the toilet seat when they came to make repairs! Nice! It’s so obvious that when management or workers come in they do not respect your space or your personal property. Overall, management will not take your safety seriously, at least in our apartments experience. If you live here you are going to have to advocate for yourself because management will try and take advantage of you. We are not trying to scare anyone out of living here as all of us have lived here throughout college, but it does get exhausting having to constantly fight with management for the most basic things. We’re posting this because our neighbors have had similar experiences and we have seen other reviews that have also expressed these concerns but nothing is being done. We get that mistakes happen but this is absolutely a pattern. Students pay a lot of money to live here yet we are treated disrespectfully by some of the staff and we don’t always receive the basic things that we are legally promised.

  Apartments are clean and up to date. No elevators. Nice out door grilling/community area. Nice workout room.

  LONG BUT WORTH THE READ!! I absolutely would never reccomend anyone to live here. Staff is not willing to help, very dismissive and rude. They rarely answer emails and you always have to call to get answers. I had roommate issues and I called to ask my options and they basically told me there was nothing they could do and that I just had to deal with it. If you live here PICK YOUR ROOMATES! Summit management is horrible at choosing. When we moved in, our washer was full of mold in the seal. We put in multiple matinence requests and they would never do anything other than run the self clean cycle and wipe it down with bleach. Matinence takes weeks to come and look at things and when they do it is early in the morning and they sit and bang on the door until someone comes and opens it. They are so very rude. Once when our heat was stuck on, one of my roomates put in a request and management didn't inform all of us about when they would be coming. The man was checking all the heats in the rooms and I had just gotten home from a long trip so all my laundry (personal items) was on my bed and the man asked to come in my room and I said no because of the reason I just said. He was VERY rude and just about yelled at me because I wasn't comfortable with him seeing my personal clothing items. The heat in our rooms had JUST been checked a week or so prior and my room was perfectly fine and everything was working fine. Matinence is horrible. With the snow and plowing, they will plow up piles right behind the cars and then expect you to be able to move your cars by a certain time and will tow you if not moved. I had sent an email with photo evidence of cars that were plowed in and they tried to make the excuse of snow drifts when it was very obviously from a plow. The staff had zero apologies about anything and would hang up or treat you like your stupid. You also do not get your full security deposit back, they take 175 for a cleaning and painting fee even if there is nothing wrong in your unit. Also overpaid on rent one month by accident and called to ask for it back because I needed it for other expenses and they flat out refused when no where in my lease did it say they were allowed to keep it. Moved out of Duluth and will never go back after this expierence.

  Management kinda really sucks… but the maintenance team is solid!! Lived here for 3+ years.

  I just wanted to leave this review to say that i will not be renting here this semester due to the numerous complaints and 1 star reviews. I believe everyone should avoid this place until the owners go bankrupt and a new company takes over.
