I reached the character limit on my original review, so I am continuing it here using a different email. This is still the same resident and the same situation.
After reading the 250+ negative reviews here, I realized that what I experienced is not an isolated mistake on their part but an ongoing theme that many other residents have written about. It is disheartening because we are less than two months into our 13‑month contract and are already being treated this way. It is certainly unlikely that we will renew our lease here. And if you are a management staff member reading this, please do not respond with phony sympathy. If you truly care about your residents’ concerns, you have my contact information. I am fair, so I will update this review sometime later about how this situation pans out. If you are someone considering moving here, all I will say is: do your due diligence before you make a decision.

I am a relatively new resident and have lived here for about a month and a half, and I just experienced quite possibly the worst interactions I have ever had with leasing agents as an adult. To give you a snapshot, I recently received an email stating that I was charged a $50 fee for leaving trash at my underground garage stall. We have two cars, and when we saw the lack of cameras and how seemingly unsanitary the underground garage looks, we decided not to use it. We have never used it, not even once. However, some other resident or residents apparently use our stall, as evidenced by a bicycle that is stationed there, which is not ours at all.
When I brought this up to the leasing agent who was available last week, I was immediately met with pointless defensiveness. I explained the situation, showed her a photo clearly indicating that other residents have been using the stall, and reiterated that we have never used it. I also assured her that we were happy to provide dashcam footage from every day we have lived here to prove that we have never used the underground garage, and that the trash found is highly likely due to other residents using the stall unlawfully. All of this fell on deaf ears. She did not consider the evidence reasonable enough to reverse the fee. She finally told me that the “property manager” would resolve the issue when she returned from vacation on Monday and assured me that their staff would remove the bicycle as soon as possible and deal with it.
I went back on Monday, and the bicycle was still there, which further proves that someone else is clearly using the stall and should be charged the fee instead of us. I brought newer photo evidence to the office and wanted to speak with the property manager to see if the fee had been reversed and to ask why the bicycle was still there. Another leasing agent stopped me from talking to the manager and insisted that I speak with her because “everyone else wasn’t available,” even though they were all in the office listening to our conversation. I tried to explain what had happened to this other leasing staff member, and she immediately dismissed me and what I had to say. She kept repeating that “they had been dealing with many residents that leave trash at their stalls” and implied that I should basically guard the stall, as if other residents using it was somehow my fault. I told her again that we could prove our case, as we have dashcam footage, but she continued to dismiss and ignore what I was saying. Lastly, she told me I would have to schedule an appointment to meet with the manager, who, mind you, was sitting right there listening to the entire conversation. I then tried reaching out to the manager via email today and received the same dismissive behavior. Her reply was almost identical to the other staff members and completely ignored the fact that I was willing to provide video evidence showing that we have never used the underground parking lot. After her initial dismissive email, I sent a second email reminding her of the evidence, including the dashcam footage and the fact that the bicycle is still stationed at our supposed underground stall. She replied only with a photo of the bike stationed at our stall, without any explanation as to why we should still pay the fee or acknowledgment that it was a mistake to charge us given the undeniable evidence.

The property itself is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained, and the lake is lovely. That’s exactly why writing this review isn’t easy.
Unfortunately, living here often feels less like being at home and more like constantly adapting to new restrictions. There are frequent emails about what residents can’t do, what needs to be removed immediately, and what could result in additional charges or fines.
Over time, it starts to feel like almost every email from management is another reminder about restrictions, inspections, possible fines, or extra fees. Because of that, you eventually find yourself feeling anxious before every apartment inspection, even when you know you’ve followed all the rules. Home should be a place where you feel comfortable and at ease—not a place where you worry about the next email from management.
The final straw for me was the parking lot resurfacing project. For several days, residents were instructed to park their vehicles in their garages, another parking lot, or on the street. However, it wasn’t until after the work had already started that residents were informed anyone who had parked in their garage would not be able to leave with their vehicle until the project was completed. Had this been communicated in advance, people could have simply parked elsewhere. The maintenance itself wasn’t the issue—the communication was.
This wasn’t an isolated incident. During our time here, we also dealt with cockroaches shortly after moving in (fortunately, that issue was eventually resolved), regular water shutoffs, and inconsistent maintenance response times—sometimes repairs were completed the next day, while other important issues took much longer to be addressed.
I don’t expect any apartment community to be perfect, and I understand that rules are necessary. However, there’s a big difference between having reasonable rules and creating an environment where residents constantly feel stressed about inspections, new restrictions, and possible charges.
Unfortunately, that feeling ultimately outweighed all of this property’s positives.
Edited: I don’t randomly give negative reviews/ratings for no reason. Check this name, Kyle L or Tammee L. You don’t remember us, but we remember every horrible experiences we had with you guys. None of you works professionally or helpful. You were just plain rude. There’s only one person is nice and legit HELPFUL, her name is Crystal.
Do you guys still remember the problem that we complained all along that the door is never locked? Do you remember that you guys never fix it and never care? Do you remember the day when a stranger set fire in the elevator? Do you still remember raising the price crazily? Do you remember that your washing machines are junky and never work? Do you remember your machines keep charging us and not working, and we complained and you said you couldn’t do anything? Do you remember during the winter, your apartment windows and door are froze shut? Do you realize that there are mice everywhere? Do you remember there’s a poop in the washing machine? I can still list many more problems, and it’s not gonna be shorter than this.
