  Would give 0 stars if possible. Moved out with my account zeroed out and in good standing. Instead of trying to contact me even once for a payment allegedly outstanding for $100 because apparently their utilities payments are two months behind THEY SENT IT TO COLLECTIONS. I have video and photo proof we provided a forwarding address within the timeframe that is legally required upon vacating. I knew they were going to be predatory, hence why I documented undeniable proof of them receiving the forwarding address and keys. This place is absolutely not worth your time and money. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. This is the prior review that I hesitated posting as I was trying to leave on good terms with the office: If you want mice without the issue being addressed, sign your lease here!! I lived here for a year and had JUST resigned my lease to learn they have mice infestations AND they have an exterminator on contract because they are aware of the issue but won’t send one out in a timely fashion to rectify the issue. They have intentionally mishandled this property and it continuously has gone downhill. They won’t even provide a supposed date and time they plan on sending out the exterminator… just “next time they come out”… absolutely absurd, disgusting, and the worst place I have lived by far. The leasing office is inconsiderate and the property manager is unfamiliar with MI tenant-landlord laws. Find anywhere else to move to save yourself the continuous stress of an unresolved mice infestation. You also only ever see them do upgrades on units people moved OUT of. If you pay your rent diligently every month, know you will not see any upgrades to your unit. Better to move especially considering they try to up your rent regardless of their lack of improvements and renovations (and don’t believe their baseless claims about matching the market rate as there are nicer and more affordable apartments in town than here). They tell you they will put you on an “upgrade” waitlist to move into a townhome for $200 your first year or that you can wait until your second year and get on for free. But then they move in new tenants and refuse to let anyone who already lived here & is on the waitlist have an opportunity to move into a townhome. They cut down all of the trees in front of the apartments, waste endless money on repaving the parking lot (come on, we live in Michigan! the snow, ice, and salt to prevent slips will ruin it in a single winter anyway), and ignore your emails and calls but send out endless reminders about stuff that is way less significant than what you are attempting to reach them for. They take a whole week to get the parking lot repaved, towing cars on days when nothing is actually done to the parking and half the lot just sits vacant when no one shows up to repave or repaint it. As another review mentioned, they double charge “damage waiver program” fees and get you to sign your lease saying you won’t pay a deposit to end up paying $300+ in fees every year AND have to pay $500+ a year in laundry fees to use the ONE washer and dryer they have for the ENTIRE building. They also raise the cost of the laundry machines with no warning multiple times a year so they make it very difficult to anticipate budget needs for laundry while living there. *** Tip: look up the settlement residents out of Indiana received when the Indiana State Attorney General took action against the property management company, Beztak, who are also in control of these apartments for mismanagement of their property in Indiana. Also, you can find the wrongful death suit for their lack of adequate fire alarms that resulted in the death of a woman’s husband and children. Their goal is to bury the bad reviews with enough good ones but do not believe the glorified BS of initial positivity from new residents who are pushed to review the property (I almost made the mistake of giving them a good review when I first moved in but had wanted to see how it played out longer than my first week living there)****

  I fell in love with this place the first time I toured it. This was actually my backup apartment because I had one I was prepared to sign on and just wanted to look at one more place to be sure. Okemos Station was a delight and Julie was hands down the most helpful leasing person I worked with out of any of the places I toured! Happy to know it’s a pet friendly community!! Has a dog park, and clean pool area, fitness center. Impressed by how much storage even the 1 bedroom units have, love that each apartment gets a storage locker. Was skeptical about shared laundry, but the facilities seem to be maintained well and cleaned regularly. Excited to adventure on this next chapter!

  The property manager Julie was a blast to talk with, very knowledgeable and professional. But most importantly fun. If your thinking of renting from a property rent here cause you’ll be taken care of

  I am moving from out-of-state and visited the property with my family. Jules was able to give us a tour at our originally scheduled time even though it was in the system wrong. (Scheduled using AI phone call) Jules was very welcoming and answered almost all of our questions before we even asked them!
