  We had a great experience working with Jim Hocking during our move from Canada to Michigan. He was always responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive in helping us find the right home in Allendale and guiding us through the buying process. Jim was never pushy, always had our best interests in mind, and made the whole experience much easier. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the greater Grand Rapids area!

  We listed with Jacob Hills/Smallegan RE after a horrible experience with our first Realtor. Jacob Hills was a breath of fresh air and we were a bit stressed after our recent experience with someone else. Jacob is so knowledgeable, professional and he communicated through the whole selling process. His marketing of our house was like no other! We needed a buyer without contingencies, when we got an offer he worked all weekend on getting alternative financing so there was no contingencies in the offer. He went above and beyond for us. During the closing process the whole team at Smallegan was outstanding! They are such a professional office, with all the newest tool/technology available to make the closing process very easy and stress free! If more real estate agencies were to operate like Smallegan RE and Jacob Hills, realtors would not have such a bad reputation!

  Jake Feldman has become like family to us at this point! He looked out for us like no other realtor ever has. I never felt at any point that he was trying to get over on us or using us to line his pockets. You can tell he TRULY cares about people and wants them to have what’s best for them and their budget. He went out of his way, so many times, to make sure we were okay and felt safe about the decisions we were making. I am grateful to Jake and would recommend him over any other realtor in this city!
