  I have worked with Mike at PMI West Michigan for over 3 years and have been pleased with the professional and courteous service I have received. Mike is easy to reach when needed and handled all of the interactions with the tenants in a seamless manner allowing me to feel completely comfortable with Mike as my property manager. I highly recommend Mike if you are looking for a competent reliable professional property manager.

  I'm only giving 1 star because I have to in order to post this review. If you have other rental options, please do yourself a favor and explore them before signing with this company. We moved into our home 2/2022. We had 2 home inspections within a couple of months of moving in. We were told they would be back to do another, no one came. The gutters were a problem when we moved in, and they were a problem when we moved out. In December 2022 we inquired about renewing our lease. We received and email on 12/31/22 telling us it was time to renew. We received an email mid-January that our lease was not going to be renewed. We inquired and were told the owner was reclaiming the property. We looked at another property with PMI. We didn't end up renting from them, Thank God. As was the same with the previous 1 star review, when we got to the house James was looking for keys. We did end up seeing it. We went with another property with another company. We paid our rent MONTHS in advance. We had a couple of maintenance issues that were solved, eventually. When we were told the owner was reclaiming the property we were bummed, but it's business. We spent 3 weeks moving and cleaning. The house was in great condition when we returned the keys. There was some trash that we couldn't dispose of left in the garage. It was neatly stacked, and left in a condition that someone just had to toss it out. It was just random things we couldn't fit in the city trash receptacles. There were a few minor things throughout the house that we knew would need to be addressed. But, it was in VERY good condition. We were told we would receive our deposit back within 30 days after returning the keys. James had messaged about mail at the house. I asked him how it looked. Knowing how much effort we had put into returning it in such good condition I was expecting his response to reflect as much. He responded "We had to get rid of a bunch of trash and do a lot of cleaning. We'll have it all itemized on the mailer sent out once the security deposit accounting is done" I was stunned. I took pictures to compare to whatever their accounting says they had to do. We returned keys on 2/21/23. I reached out to James on 3/27/23 because we hadn't heard anything. I drove past the house on my way to work after dropping my daughter off at school on 3/28/23, there was a for rent sign in the yard with PMI listed as the rental company. James finally texted late this morning 3/28/23 that the accounting was done and a they are having it sent in the mail. No time frame was given and they are a week out of their 30 day window. I took this opportunity to let them know that I noticed they were renting the house again and how disgusted I was with how dishonest they were. We would have never wasted our time or theirs looking at another PMI property had we known that they had some unknown issue with US. I'm so glad we didn't fall in love with the other PMI property we looked at. We would have been devastated. James told us about the process for getting that property. We had already been approved and lived in a PMI property for a year. No issues had been communicated. Why would we think otherwise? Overall, I thought it was a good experience until I realized exactly how shady they are. I have NEVER been lied to like that. I warn anyone to take caution when renting from them. It's not everything it seems to be and you will never get a straight answer. They will lie to your face, waste your time, and move on to the next sucker. UPDATE 12/23 They are giving a bad reference when other potential landlords reach out. We were never late on rent, actually, we paid way in advance. The house was almost ready to rent when we left. I contacted an attorney and it's not illegal to flat out lie when giving a reference, but it did lock us into another 18 month lease in our current home so that we don't have to list them as a reference. If you can go with any other company I highly recommend it. If I knew then, we would have never done business with them to begin with.
