  I've been at 25 East for two years now and just renewed for the same unit. What stood out to me recently was how the office handled an issue that came up over the summer turnover. I brought it to them, Maryam in the front office took the time to actually understand what happened, and she got it fully resolved. No runaround, no getting passed between people, just a straight answer and a fair outcome. Honestly, that matters more to me than anything else about a place. Problems come up anywhere you live. What you want is an office that responds when you bring them one, and this one does. Maryam was great to work with throughout. Best apartments off campus!

  First day upon move-in the internet was not working. My second night there my car was broken into. Reported it, asked if they had cameras. Nope! Okay, can I have a weapon to defend myself? Nope! Turns out there is a history of people having stuff stolen from their cars, and the apartment has neglected to provide any security measures. It's contradictory to not install any security measures and also neglect resident's the ability to defend their property. By extension if someone left their apartment door unlocked and someone waltzed in just to steal stuff then you would not be able to defend yourself. I don't know if an intruder is armed or not so IF an intruder was armed I would be defenseless. If they are not armed and just came in to steal stuff you still wouldn't be able to do anything and the apartment wouldn't even take it seriously seeing as there is a history of reports of stuff being stolen and car break-ins and has neglected to provide any security measures.

  No Verizon cell service at 25 East!!! My kid just moved in and we can't even call, only text. Additionally, the building's internet is so poor that even Wi-Fi calls drop (and not all the students have moved in yet, so it will only get worse). My student is very stressed about not being able to call home! It will be a pain and added expense to switch just one person off our Verizon plan to a different service provider. I agree with other reviews, that it was a bit of a bait and switch. Toured a nicer cleaner unit and moved into a much smaller unit.
