My son moved here two years ago and he loves it. I love that unit came fully furnished and has in unit washer and dryer. The complex is well maintained, the staff is friendly and the location is great for MSU students.

I’ve had a great experience living at 25 East. The units are really nice, and the rent is very affordable compared to a lot of other student housing options in East Lansing. The staff and maintenance team are very nice and helpful, and they really do their best to make it a good living experience for residents. You also have to take a lot of reviews with a grain of salt because everyone has a different experience. Student living is honestly a lot of what you make it, and overall 25 East has been a great value and a good place to live near MSU.

I originally rated this place 3 stars because of it met my basic requirements for living and accomodations. After my 2nd year, I can no longer give that same rating. Maintenance has been friendly, but they get nothing done. We have had no AC for the past 5 months since December, and our heating and cooling both no longer work. With the fast temperature rise in the spring my roommate had a heat stroke and I rushed him to the hospital and the apartment complex still refused to service us, dismissing all of our work orders since March. We have filed a formal city complaint about our living conditions and my roommates and I plan on taking legal action in the future due to it's poor accomodation. Don't recommending living here.

I would not recommend this complex to anyone. The photos attached show the actual condition of the unit. The HVAC air handler was visibly filthy inside with grime-caked walls and a filter housing that looked like it hadn't been serviced in years. Window tracks had black mold packed into them. Carpet was heavily stained throughout with dark buildup along the baseboards. The sink drain had rust staining and what appears to be a duct tape patch instead of a real repair. Outlets had cracked covers with chipping, peeling paint. The bathroom exhaust fan had a gap around the ceiling cutout and was caked in dust. Ceiling water damage was painted over rather than actually fixed. The central AC was broken for essentially the entire lease. It was finally repaired 2 weeks before I moved out, meaning I had working AC for maybe 2 weeks of a 12-month lease and used it once or twice. Management's compensation for this was $300 in gift cards across the full lease, $25 a month — on a unit priced above $800 per room. Maintenance staff were friendly and not the problem. The problem is what management allows these units to become and how little urgency they show when tenants raise legitimate issues repeatedly. I wouldn't pay more than $500–600 per room for what we actually got here. Look elsewhere in East Lansing. UPDATE in response to reply: Interesting that management considers 9 months without a functioning AC unit to be “addressed in a timely manner.” The AC was broken when I moved in and fixed 2 weeks before I moved out. I’ll keep that in mind as the new standard for proactive response. The photos I attached are also apparently the result of a team that “takes pride” in their work. I’ll let anyone reading this draw their own conclusions.

Door to main entrance gets stuck open and remains unlocked for majority of days. My own door handle gets stuck almost every time you try to turn it. Floorboard all throughout are coming up bubbling off the floor couch missing covers and all scratched up (all of which was present before move in) when I asked maintenance guy he shrugged and said oh well.
