  This was the worst experience I have ever had with a business. I would give zero stars if Google allowed it. I rented a 3 bed / 2 bath at Somerset Park Apartments in Bath for $2,200 a month on a 15-month lease (May 2025–August 2026). If you are looking at this place, read this first. They cut every corner they can. There was no dryer vent cover on the outside of the building, so hornets got into the walls and into my apartment and lived there for months. When the dishwasher died in our first month, they installed a beat-up unit that looked like it came out of the 1970s. That one died too. They tried to bring in another old wreck and I had to refuse it and tell them to get a dishwasher that actually works. The one they finally put in still works, but after 11 months it is already full of rust. The AC cannot push air to the master bedroom. Maintenance either cannot fix it or will not fix it. On top of that, there are 3–6 outdoor AC units sitting right outside the bedroom window. So not only are you hot in the room that is supposed to have AC, you get to listen to a wall of condensers while you try to sleep. You will never reach the actual office. Calls get routed to a call center in Mexico. They leave a message for the front desk to call you back. That callback took 2–3 days on average. When I finally did get someone, the people were polite. That does not help when you need something now. Maintenance does not ring the doorbell, knock, or give notice. They use their keys and walk in unannounced. They have walked in on us multiple times. Package delivery here is a joke. UPS, USPS, and FedEx have circled the complex just to ping their GPS, then driven off. You end up going to the store to pick up your own packages. They raise the rent every year. Elderly neighbors have said they are not sure they can keep affording to live here. One told me that when he moved into his 1 bed / 1 bath eight years ago he paid $750–$800 a month. He now pays $1,600 for the same apartment, which has not had modern updates in the time he's been living there. When my partner lost her job in the tech layoffs at the end of 2025 and our income dropped, I went to the office and explained the situation. They would not work with us at all. They made it clear that if we had to leave we would still owe about three months of rent plus cancellation and other fees designed to lock you in. Do not expect any flexibility if life happens. Do not count on getting your security deposit back either. Even if you keep the apartment in excellent condition, they will find a reason to keep it. If you need a landlord you can actually reach, who knocks before entering, who spends money to fix things the right way, and who will not treat a job loss like your problem alone, look somewhere else. I would not rent here again.

  I just wrapped up a year lease at Somerset Park. Only left because I moved out of state, but if I could have scooped up my 2BR apartment and taken it with me, I would have. So glad Somerset was my home for the time I was in MI. Management was fantastic and accommodating from my initial apartment reconnaissance through move-out. They didn't have a problem with me renting sight unseen (moved from out of state), which isn't universal. They worked with me when I arrived from my cross-country drive a day early and made that process much easier than it could have been. Before I arrived, I loved the fact that their website has Matterport virtual tours where you can literally measure the rooms to see what furniture will fit, what will go where, etc. I saw one other reviewer complain about not being able to get measurements; I'm like...are we talking about the same apartments...? 2BR 2-Bath unit (Buckingham on their site) has tons of space. King bed fits easily in the master bedroom with plenty of space to spare; master bath is huge. I miss my big shower with the sliding glass door. 🥲 Oh and did I mention the room off the kitchen with the in-unit washer and dryer? PLENTY of room in there for a DIY pantry (BYO shelves) or general storage. The only maintenance issue I had the year long was my own dumb fault (I should have known to leave BOTH faucets trickle when it was -15 degrees outside), but maintenance responded promptly, courteously (without the haranguing I deserved 😅), and helped me address the semi-frozen pipe right away. I primarily chose Somerset Park for the rural setting, and it did not disappoint. I was on the first floor and my patio faced Priggooris Park; the views and the wildlife (including birds!) did not disappoint; gorgeous sunrises every morning. Little more noise due to highway proximity than I would have liked but nothing's perfect. Management was always available and friendly if I had a question; I'd generally just be able to walk into the office on my way to pick up a package from the on-site Amazon locker and have it answered right away. Move-out process was simple and painless too. Big shout-out to Donovan and Nola for putting up with me all year. Photos are from my glorious patio. Thanks for making my year at Somerset great!

  I’ve called multiple times and sent several emails Literally just trying to figure out the dimensions of a one bedroom and I cannot get anybody to contact me back and it’s been almost a week. I keep getting forwarded to what I think is the corporate customer service line because no one in the leasing office will pick up. They take my information to pass on but I don’t get any follow up. The corporate customer service line is extremely kind but I cannot get a call back from the physical office to save my life. I’ve received 500 AI emails about setting up a tour but is anybody even in office at this point?? if I didn’t live 45 minutes away I would just drive there and ask to go measure myself. I don’t understand how dimensions of living spaces aren’t readily available and why it’s been such a challenge getting follow up communication from the leasing team. Is existing and future tenant communication not a job requirement?

  Living here was decent but moving out and trying to get final inspection information or refund information is horrible. No one answers from the office so it goes to call center. They take a message and say someone will call. No call back after multiple messages. I moved out 2 months ago and still can't get any answers.
