Now that my husband and I are nearing the end of our lease, I feel it’s important to leave an honest review of Admiral Place Apartments. The biggest issue we experienced was communication. The leasing office rarely answers the phone, and if you have a question or concern, your only real option is to go there in person—assuming the office is open. Even then, getting assistance can be difficult. Emails often go unanswered as well. The only person who consistently responded to us was Pandora. While the apartment may appear nice at first glance, the quality of the units is extremely poor. The walls are fragile, paint chips easily, and there are visible cracks, water-damaged wood, and signs of repeated patchwork repairs throughout the apartment. At one point, I tried hanging something on a wall and the drywall literally crumbled, leaving large holes behind. There are also numerous areas that show obvious signs of water damage and deterioration. The most concerning issue was the ongoing moisture and mold problem. Throughout our lease, mold repeatedly developed in the bathroom despite multiple maintenance requests. There is no proper exhaust fan in either the bathroom or the kitchen, which allows humidity to build up and creates ideal conditions for moisture problems. We regularly found mold growing on the bathroom walls and ceiling, along with water stains, bubbling paint, warped surfaces, and deteriorating drywall. At one point, the damage became severe enough that part of the bathroom ceiling deteriorated and exposed the cavity above. Despite multiple maintenance visits, the issue continued to return. The apartment also shows obvious signs of poor upkeep, including rusted vents, damaged trim, deteriorating baseboards, water-damaged wood, cracked walls, and a bathtub that began chipping apart. When we reported the bathtub issue, we were told it could be repaired, but we would be unable to use the shower for two days. For people with demanding work schedules, going without a shower for that length of time simply isn’t a realistic solution. The HVAC system was another recurring issue. Our air filter was supposedly fixed three separate times, yet it was never properly fitted and continued to leave what looked like a large open gap. The vents were dirty, and the overall condition of the system raised concerns about air quality. The dryer also left lint everywhere, even with the proper attachment installed. Despite cleaning daily, we also dealt with various bugs throughout the apartment. Beyond the condition of the apartment itself, the overall living environment was disappointing. The walls are so thin that you can regularly smell what neighboring residents are cooking, as well as marijuana smoke coming from other apartments. There were ongoing issues with pet owners not cleaning up after their dogs, leaving waste in common areas. Trash management was another recurring problem, with dumpsters frequently overflowing and garbage often accumulating around the trash areas. These issues only added to the frustration of living here. Safety was another major concern. During our lease, my vehicle was broken into and suffered significant damage, including a torn-apart steering column, damaged ignition, a broken door handle, and additional costly repairs. My husband was stationed in this area, and we were in a difficult position when we needed housing quickly. Unfortunately, choosing Admiral Place Apartments is something we regret. Between the poor communication, recurring mold and moisture issues, lack of proper ventilation, maintenance concerns, pest problems, overflowing trash, pet waste throughout the property, thin walls, and safety issues, our experience was extremely disappointing. If you’re in a situation where you need to find housing quickly, I strongly encourage you to explore other options before signing a lease here. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend living at Admiral Place Apartments.
