I do not write reviews lightly, but after enduring these conditions for **over 6 months**, it is necessary to clearly document what is happening here.
My unit has been subject to a **severe and ongoing cockroach infestation affecting the entire apartment — living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom**. This is not isolated. It has escalated to the point where **cockroaches are walking on my couch and have even been found in my bed**, which is completely unacceptable and deeply distressing. Even as of **last night**, roaches remain active. There is no part of this unit that can be considered clean or safe.
These conditions have forced me into **abnormal, unsustainable living arrangements**:
* **Belongings stored in plastic bags** to prevent contamination
* **Kitchen pots and essentials moved into my bedroom** just to keep them usable
* Living and sleeping spaces constantly disrupted due to infestation
The unit is no longer functioning as a livable home—it has become **disproportionate and effectively uninhabitable**.
In addition to the infestation, there has been **ongoing water damage since 2025**, including **ceiling leaks during rain**, which remains unresolved. This is a long-standing issue that continues to impact the structural condition of the unit and overall safety.
Management has been on clear notice:
* **Andrew (Assistant Leasing Manager)** has been aware for **at least 7 weeks**
* The infestation and water issues have been ongoing for **months prior to that**
More recently, **Sonia (Leasing Manager)** has stated that she is “new.” However, her responses have indicated a disregard for the documented history of these issues, as if her recent arrival resets the situation. It does not. The property has had **multiple leasing managers over the past 3 years**, and a change in personnel does not erase prior notice, ongoing complaints, or the obligation to resolve long-standing conditions. The issues I am experiencing existed well before her involvement and continue to persist.
A treatment was conducted on **April 27, 2026**, but it did not resolve the issue. Instead:
* **Chemical residue remained in the unit**, raising additional health concerns
* **Cockroaches were still active as of April 29 and continue to be present, including as of last night**
This demonstrates that the issue is not being effectively addressed and that I am being subjected to both **ongoing infestation and repeated chemical exposure** without resolution. It further demonstrates that this is **not a condition that can be resolved through piecemeal, in-unit treatments while I am forced to remain inside the apartment**. The severity and persistence of the infestation require **full and comprehensive remediation, including evacuation of the unit**, rather than expecting a tenant to continue living in unsafe conditions while temporary measures repeatedly fail.
At no point have I refused access or failed to cooperate. I have consistently made the unit available and acted in good faith.
At this stage, **a reasonable time to cure has long since passed**. Multiple opportunities have been provided to address these conditions, yet they persist and continue to substantially interfere with my ability to safely and reasonably occupy the premises. I can no longer live this way.
Despite this, management continues to:
* **Charge full rent**
* Attempt to classify this as a **voluntary termination**
* Demand **penalty fees**
That characterization is incorrect.
This is **not a voluntary decision to leave**—it is the direct result of **ongoing, unresolved conditions that render the unit unfit for normal occupancy**. When a tenant is forced out by conditions that have not been corrected after notice and a reasonable time to cure, it constitutes an **involuntary termination. Under these circumstances, imposing early termination penalties and rent to be paid for the reminder of the lease is not appropriate, as the tenant is not choosing to leave—the conditions are forcing that outcome.**
STAY AWAY!!!
