  Mai has been SO helpful during my apartment search. Even though there wasn’t any availability for when I needed to move, she has been an angel throughout the process. I have been on several tours and the light she brought to our interaction was memorable! Hopefully my schedule will align and I am able to move into the met!

  Title: Wonderful Place to Live! ​I’ve lived here for a year now and just decided to renew my lease. ​The building is exceptionally clean and well-kept. The lobby always smells amazing because of the free resident coffee in the amenity room, which is a lovely touch. Even the trash chutes on every floor are kept spotless and odorless. ​What really sets this place apart is the staff. The concierge, management, and maintenance teams are all extremely polite and helpful. Any maintenance issues are resolved almost immediately. ​Location-wise, it’s ideal. Having diverse restaurants and Trader Joe’s right nearby adds so much convenience to my routine. ​Even with 13% rent increase upon renewal, the pros far outweigh the cons. I'm looking forward to another great year here!

  Living at The Met Rockville has been a positive experience. Until yesterday, July 23 2026, I saw the new concierge—an African American woman in a red blazer (not Fatima, Dora, or Mai, who are excellent)—shouting at a resident about a missing package. The concierge’s behavior seemed harassing and discriminatory; she blocked the elevator door to resident while demanding deletion of a video recorded during the outburst. This was startling, as I did not expect such conduct from someone managing the front desk. The manager should address this issue. Our building community is diverse, and such discrimatory conduct should not be tolerade from a front-desk lead. I hope the resident shares the recording with management.

  Discriminatory bait-and-switch against a housing voucher holder On March 16, 2026, my daughter and I toured The Met with their leasing agent, Dora. We were upfront from the start: my daughter holds a housing subsidy voucher through the State of Maryland and was approved for a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. Dora quoted us a monthly rate within our program's price ceiling — and told us the price was good for three weeks. We called Maryland Inclusive Housing that same day to move forward. Less than three days later, Dora called back asking if my daughter would "downgrade" to a one-bedroom, den, and one bath. We agreed to make it work. We were given a move-in date, an apartment number, and sent a DocuSign to sign. Twelve days after that, we received yet another call — this time offering only a one-bedroom apartment, with a verbal promise that they would move my daughter into a two-bedroom unit within six months. When I asked where my daughter's live-in aide would sleep in the meantime, I was told: the living room. We declined. A verbal promise from a team that had already broken its word twice — first on the unit type, then on the signed agreement — is worth nothing. There is no lease provision, no written guarantee, no reason whatsoever to trust that a two-bedroom would materialize six months later. This is a pattern of escalating downgrades that began the moment our voucher was disclosed. The original offer met every program requirement. What followed has the hallmarks of housing voucher discrimination: repeated reductions, a move-in date and apartment number that evaporated, and a final offer that is both inadequate for my daughter's care needs and backed only by an unenforceable promise. I would not recommend The Met to any family navigating disability-related housing subsidies. Document everything, and proceed with extreme caution.
