Been living in RCV for months now and I am loving it. Jeree is friendly, and has been so helpful during the moving in process. She made me feel welcome and at home.

Jeree is awesome! She fit us in for a quick tour and was nothing but kind. Jeree knows her stuff and is so informative and has an infectious and kind personality. Really enjoyed working with her
Jeree has been so great and understanding through this whole process! Moving in has been a painless process with all of the staff but especially Jeree. Jeree was flexible and worked with us and got us all set up which has been very much appreciated.
Pros:
Location: This area of Rockville/North Bethesda is really good
Amenities: The Pub, Library, Grill Area, Pool /Hot Tub are nice and not usually booked up crazy
Maintenance: Always very attentive and kind guys
Price: Pretty decent compared to other surrounding areas
Community: Neighbors are respectful, I’ve never had any complaints personally with anyone and there’s mainly elderly and disabled individuals
Pest Control comes in the summer and I feel like is pretty accessible
Cons:
1. The Package room sucks, it’s always down and very disorganized, usually carriers have no idea how to correctly place the packages in the room, there’s no signage and the system gets confusing, during high volume time good luck getting your packages.
2. The fire alarms go off MULTIPLE times a week late at night… 11pm, 1am, it’s really bad.
And it has yet to be addressed or fixed
If you look up a recent incident there actually was a fire and people had to yell through the hallways to let us know it was real because they go off so much that no one even goes outside anymore.
They are always doing fire alarms tests in the main building yet I’ve lived here for over 1 year and there hasn’t been a single month where the alarms don’t go off late at night.
3. The dumpster is pretty far from the units so most people just put their trash bags on their car and have to drive it down to the dumpster
4. Garage stairs stink of pee and marijana and the 1st and 2nd floor are pretty much filled by 6pm so you end up having to take the stairs
5. Leasing/Property Management is inattentive, never answer your calls but they are quick to return a call from an unknown number. Also they’ve messed up my parking pass when I first moved in and got me towed and never reimbursed it but said they would.
6. Recently the property complained that there were large gatherings in the community shared outdoor space and the only place to allow large gatherings is now the Pub Room and has to be rented out??
7. The only way to access building after hours is with your cell phone, makes it hard to have deliveries, guests come in or if your phone dies your screwed
8. No Visitor Parking
9. Gym is pretty basic and outdated and doesn’t have privacy windows so strangers can look inside
10. Elevator is really slow and loud but there’s only 4 stories so that just doesn’t make sense
11. Hallways carpeting and stair walls are very dirty and need more consistent cleaning
I think that’s all hopefully this helps this building some :)

My feelings are torn on this. Had you asked me a year ago I would have given this Complex a 3 or 4 star rating, however after mine and my buddy’s move out experience it think 2 stars is warranted as of now
The pros of this community is it’s in a wonderful neighborhood full of shopping and amenities thats safe and close to the metro. The units themselves are nice, and we loved our space.
Unfortunately the community management is the major downside. When we first moved in our maintenance tickets were fixed in 24 hours, however it dramatically began to decline. We would go a week without someone coming to even review major repair work requests (even when we told them exactly what was wrong with videos) this resulted in us going a month witha dishwasher and washing machine, as well as 3 months without any usable elevator. I suspect this was because the property manager wanted to delay ordering parts so they could be batch ordered to save costs at the expense of tenant life. The maintenance men are great, but severely overworked.
But the part that really downgraded our rating was the experience our friends and and myself experienced when moving out. My friends were basically told right before moveout that they had to sign a new lease buyout addendum at a higher rate or they wouldn’t be allowed to vacate the lease. This is purely speculation, but i believe their plan was to strongarm the ones they could.
As for my move out experience, we moved out about 3 weeks before out official lease end date, and despite only returning to the apartment to move out remaining items and to clean we were charged for a full months worth of Water and sewer usage (the unit is supposedly individually metered). When we spoke to them about the inconsistency and showed them evidence of us only actually residing there for 1/3 of the month, they refused to correct this error.
I want to specify that this is entirely my opinion based purely on my experience and the experience of a friend that also lived in a separate unit in the community and is not a statement of fact outside of that.
I do want to specifically give Kuddos to Jeree and the others in the leasing office. They are wonderful people and a joy to deal with.
TLDR: the neighborhood and building itself are wonderful if you can deal with the issues of property management.
