Decent cheap option if you want to live on the green line. There are a lot of downsides, though. Unfortunately, it seems like they cheaped out on the components they bought because it seems like gates, elevators, doors, garbage doors, gym equipment, and more are perpetually broken. It’s probably not safe to leave the immediate area after dark. I’ve had multiple Hyattsville Police officers approach me at night walking and tell me I should probably not be outside at night. The running trail is nice during the day, but it quickly becomes a mugging route at night. The fire alarm situation was pretty annoying for a while. They finally figured out what was causing it, but then residents began pulling the alarms every once in a while. Sadly, many residents are often the people to blame as they don’t treat things nicely and don’t pick up after themselves. My biggest complaint is that they only paid for half of my towing fees when they forgot to inform me they were doing work on my parking spot. Pretty bad making residents spend $200 for something the managers messed up. I tried to get them to pay for all of it (like they should have), but they wouldn’t budge. Hopefully the new management is better. Overall, they are listing my apartment for $300 cheaper a month than when I moved in (and they will likely have to go lower to actually sell it). That shows you how the value of the place has decreased.

Unfortunately, I have to leave another review because the issues with this property continues and it’s just comical at this point. Since my mother has lived here, there has been ongoing problems with her rent account. It seems like every month or every other month there’s an issue with the rent portal, making it difficult for her to simply pay her rent. Even more frustrating is that she often has to contact the leasing office multiple times just to get a response. It’s beyond disappointing that late fees are added promptly, and nonessential property updates are sent out regularly, yet timely communication about residents’ concerns continue to lack My mother pays far too much in rent to receive this level of service. She isn’t a difficult resident she simply just wants her rent account to be accurate so she can pay it on time. Instead, she’s repeatedly told it’s a third-party payment issue, even when that doesn’t appear to be the case. Residents deserve better communication, accountability, customer service and this place just doesn’t have it smh! This property needs to stop addressing people’s reviews as IF they care and start coming up with a solution to do better.

I would rate it a 0 stars if i could. There's mice. I've been living here for almost 11 months and have had problems since the second day of the moving in, pictured snake below that was entering ground floor apartments. A huge problem that continued for months were fire alarms, 2,3,4,5,6 in the morning without fail. It used to happen every week back to back for months, and the management team took action way too late which should’ve been a sign. With the mice, it’s been over a month of trying to rid them of our apartment and even though that isn’t working, Sovren management refuses to let my apartment mate and I break our lease without penalties. They’ve even tried to gaslight us and say it’s probably mulch that we’ve tracked in, like mulch can get in a bed, in our bathrooms where we don’t wear shoes. So I’m sharing everything we’ve experienced since moving in. There’s so many security problems. Right before it started to get warm, we had thieves take our patio furniture. So make sure not to put out anything on the ground floor since they’ll be able to reach it. And what we luckily found out is that due to a lack of cameras on the front side of the building, inside and outside (there’s none in the hallway), we couldn’t do much. Sovren management told us to file a police report but never followed up with us on their end to investigate with potential cameras across the street where the townhouses are. God forbid something happens to a person and now there’s no camera to capture it. On top of that instance, there’s a door by the garage getting knocked off the hinges that people use to enter and that’s an additional security and safety issue for those exiting or entering through there. Some of the entrance doors on the outside by the train, they don’t actually lock and some people could just hold the door and can get in. There’s dog piss regularly right by the garage entrance, inside and outside, not even off the property. I've had to place numerous noise complaints due to inconsiderate neighbors. Copious amounts of trash sitting in the garbage room for a long period of time. There’s thin walls and crappy insulation — people use the bathroom and you hear everything; even when the wind blows from outside it funnels through the bathroom. If you desire to experience living in a place akin to hell, definitely come live here.

If only I could give 0 stars. The property is great as far as appearance goes. However, the women in the leasing office suck at customer service and make me question their experience. They haven't made my mother's first experience there a good one.
