  The reviews are from people who TOUR!!! The tours are amazing.. after u sign the lease it’s HELL! Don’t move here. Not even if you’re desperate like I was. Neighbors slamming doors early in the morning despite notes being left. 2k in rent but being woken up as early as 6:30 am on weekdays everyday. Causing migraines, makes me late for work, sometimes I have to call out because of it. Thinking of speaking to an attorney to seek options & putting my rent in escrow ASAP if management doesn’t step in. Only 3 months in living here and it’s already hell. Don’t know how I can last a whole lease with a neighbor like this without it getting violent. Front desk concierge is VERY unpleasant and makes me very uncomfortable . I can’t even get my packages in the morning just to avoid conflict. Management didnt do anything. Stains in the halls, smells in the lobby.

  It was such a joy to tour and interact with the wonderful staff at Canvas! Our tour with Ms. Ivy was the best experience I’ve ever had in searching for a new place to live. She’s super knowledgeable, kind, professional, and personable! Her patience and flexibility meant a lot as we navigated the moving process and had many questions. The property is beautiful, artsy, and calm. Thanks so much to Ms. Ivy and Ms. Betty for the hospitality!

  It was an absolute pleasure to meet the staff at canvas. The property manager Tia was very helpful in assisting during my tour. I was then greeted by Ivy and Betty, who were very knowledgeable about the community itself. I’m going to love living here.

  My experience has been a mixed bag. The personnel working here (Betty, Ivy, and everyone else I’ve met) are friendly and helpful, especially Andre on the maintenance team. My hot water tank has malfunctioned twice and he worked tirelessly to fix the issue and checked in to ensure things were still working. I really appreciate his help — please give that man a raise and hire 2 more of him! However, there are some issues that seem to stem from lack of adequate resources and the people living here who show disregard to the community. The parking gate door fobs/scanning system malfunction constantly and would seem to require replacing. The trash rooms often overflow with trash and people then place trash in the hallways. I think increasing trash pick-ups days could help with the trash compactors/room overflowing and having more trash cans in public areas such as the garage would keep trash off the ground. Public use items have been reported stolen. It can be very noisy even during quiet hours. Given my personal experience I can’t give full stars at present, however I am writing this with hopes Canvas will be responsive to putting in more time and money into the maintenance of their property and investing in their staff here who are great. Canvas should also look to invest in upgrading or creating their tech and user applications such as their rent portal, packing notification system, and maintenance request portal for ease of access and better issue management + tracking.
