  Mariah did a fantastic job and I got a two bedroom apartment within a very short period of time. The entire management is highly professional and diligent. The apartment is spacious, Chic, and peaceful with an outstanding view of the city. I highly recommend Avondale Overlook🩷.

  I scheduled a tour with Keyla and within 2 days my tour was canceled twice and re scheduled without me asking I even sent a screenshot of my original date and time but it kept getting rescheduled . So that was a sign that this place wasn’t for me.

  This has been a really disappointing experience. To use the laundry, you have to pay each time, but then the utility costs are still split across everyone on the floor—including the laundry machines—so you end up paying for it twice. On top of that, there have been constant maintenance issues: water coming out of the walls, randomly getting locked out of your apartment cause your key stopped working , an overheating oven, and random fire alarms going off at 1 a.m. As I’m writing this, the fire alarm has been going off for the past 15 minutes. To make matters worse, you can’t control the A/C, and my thermostat is currently at 99 degrees in April in DC.

  I loved this place when I first toured it, which makes the reality of living here even more disappointing. Management is friendly, but that doesn’t make up for how frustrating things have become. The building is supposed to have three elevators. When I moved in earlier this year, two were working, and I was assured the third would be fixed soon. Now it’s April, and only one elevator is functioning. After talking to other residents, I found out the third elevator hasn’t worked in over a year—so it seems like we were misled from the start. At this point, there’s just one elevator serving an 11-floor building, which is completely unacceptable. You can expect to wait at least five minutes every single time you call it, sometimes longer. What was once a place I was excited about has turned into a daily frustration.
