During my time living at Brighton Village Apartments, I experienced ongoing issues with roaches, rodents, excessive noise from neighboring units, and management that was dismissive of repeated complaints. The buildings are older, and even normal walking from upstairs neighbors is clearly audible.
Safety was also a concern for me. There were multiple vehicle break-ins discussed within the community, and I never felt there was enough visible overnight security or communication from management regarding safety.
I was also left with the impression that leasing and occupancy policies were not applied consistently, which made the process feel unfair and lacking transparency.
The only positive aspect is the location. It is close to grocery stores, RIO, Kentlands, Costco, and I-270. Unfortunately, the convenient location does not make up for management, and safety concerns I experienced.

This place is quite old, but the apartments are spacious. However, some residents are incredibly inconsiderate and make noise late at night. To make matters worse, the management doesn’t even bother to respond to my noise complaints. On top of that, the rent increases significantly every year, making it an expensive place to live. The location is good, and there’s ample parking space. However, the pool is filled with kids during the summer, so swimming is a bit of a challenge.

Brighton village Gaithersburg is the worst community you could ever stay in. Full of roaches, rat. There is no point of complaining to office because they hire companies whose products don’t work. I have complained more than 5 times for the same issue and every-time they hire a company who come in to all apartments and spray something so toxic for human claiming it would kill generations of roaches and nothing happens. They came for 15 weeks sprayed my whole home even asked me to move things from my home including clearing my whole bathroom and kitchen cabinets and guess what nothing happens. Now I have living with roaches and rat. Rat is another problem in thi community. They have problem with basically everything. They have issues with us keeping our things on patio. Even threatened us for keeping things in patio by saying our recreational area access with be revoked and we will be jeopardizing our reference for next home. So basically if you want to stay with roaches and rat this will be ideal place for you besides paying hefty rent and still feeling like they are keeping us for free and doing us a favor.

My wife and I lived here from 2022-2025 on a ground-floor apartment. We moved out to live with family and save money.
The apartments are standard, nothing amazing but you get a really good price for the area. No in-unit laundry.
The management is hit or miss. Sometimes your questions are answered, sometimes they aren't. You figure out quickly who to rely on. The maintenance team was always super responsive to our requests, so no complaints there.
The Brighton Village neighborhood was really fun. There are tons of children around, so in good weather you can find games of kickball, cricket, or soccer near the park. Lots of people like to walk in the neighborhood which is lovely to see. You also have the park right behind the complex that has two loops. I trained for a half marathon in that park, so I know the routes well. I never had any complaints about my neighbors. They all seemed to be people who minded their own business which I appreciate, but after seeing the same faces over the years you always say a greeting. The only negative about the area is the chicken bones near the dumpsters (I don't know if it is raccoons or people, but I had to save my dog from eating them on multiple occasions). I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood, just remember to be aware of your surroundings at all times anywhere.
My wife and I fell in love with Gaithersburg while we were living here. The location of BV can't be beat. You're so close to Kentlands, Rio, 270, Shady Grove, downtown Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village, etc (you truly can't beat the location). There are so many local cuisines to eat from because it is such a diverse area. It is a really fantastic area to live in and experience.

People at the leasing office don't value your time. The review about cocoroaches is eye opening.
