My husband and I moved here because it seemed very affordable during my graduate studies in DC, but it is NOT worth it. Please save yourself some misery—this has by far been the WORST renting experience of our lives. We live in building A and the A/C constantly broke, the building has an interior ROACH infestation, pipes in the walls constantly burst, the washer and drier rooms always flood/are out of order/take your money, the list goes on. My husband and I are finally moving out soon and we’re literally having to leave our door slightly ajar because the hallway is about 10 degrees cooler than it is in our apartment (we checked with a thermometer). The staff is pleasant, but they kind of have to be to even try to make up for such a horrible living situation. I strongly encourage you to seek apartments elsewhere.

Nothing but problems This building has had nothing but problems, the 2600 building freight elevator has been out since December of 2025, the other elevator breaks down every other day. The staff is not the issue, the new company kettler and the owners of these apartments don’t care about there residents. The AC unit is not working. The sad thing is the vendors that come out say that management don’t really want to fix the issue. The staff is overwhelmed and frustrated with the lack of support from kettler and the owners.

One of the elevators in the 2600 building has been out of service for two months, and there is still no clear timeline for repairs. This is creating a serious inconvenience, especially for older residents and others who cannot safely use the stairs. With only one working elevator, any additional issue leaves residents without reliable access to their homes. Please address this as soon as possible and provide an update. Two months is far too long for such an essential service to remain unresolved. JUNE 1ST - now elevator no2 has been breaking down all weekend. So not only has Elevator no#1 been out the last 2months going on 3, Elevator no#2 has been out off and on this whole weekend. Can someone please contact t someone to fix the elevators; so we wont have to carry groceries, children, have assistance to navigate up and down the stairwell. The tenants are very frustrated 😠. Can we get an idea of when both Elevators will be working properly?

I lived here for 4 months and had a great experience with the building managers, especially Sam Grayson, while leasing through Fllat! The room is small and the walls are thin, there’s no getting around it, but a lot made up for that. In unit washer-dryer, a gym in the basement, and great interactions with the building managers!
