2 years lived here, foolishly renewed lease instead of moving. But couldnt move at the time. Rent jumped up to 2275.00 increased from previous year. And year before. The main door to the complex, has been broken for over 6 months, got the worst quick fix and broke again so just anyone can walk in and knock on doors. REQUIRED parking passes are $35-$40 dollars each. If you own a car, you are required to pay for one. Temp passes $5.00 each. Maintenance announcement you they will come by with less than a days notice, or will tell you a day they will show, you can take off from work, use PTO and then they dont show up. Ice maker reported broken and fridge as well, months ago, maintenance even came by and acted like they cared, then nothing. Two months to replace the dishwasher when it broke. The ceiling has wet/damage spots and theres a leak from the roof. Told them months ago. Gets bigger even major rainstorm. The courtesy doggie bags on bins around the place are rarely ever refilled. So theres dog excrement everywhere too. Even on the sidewalk. When the A/C broke at the beginning of the hottest days of summer when MD has heat advisories, took 2 months to replace. First maintenance comes by to reset your thermostat like it does anything, then they send a HVAC tech to tell you its a bad unit and needs a AC unit new, then they sit for weeks in the AC office and wait for approval and then when they need to finally do something they want a second opinion, more than a month later. Then they finally replace it almost two months later. Other people got offered a temp AC unit, we were not. Who's directly responsible the office? No idea. Previous management was never in office, current new management seems to be the same. In the office it was always someone who couldn't help and would "pass on a message for you" and then never does. Emails go unanswered for days to weeks to months. The phone is never answered. Messages might as well be disabled because no one listening otherwise callbacks wouldn't be an issue. They have a community pool. Its never cleaned and theres debris all over it. Not just the one little leaf. Trash and more. If the Lifeguards dont show up all day and then at 6-7pm once pool hours are closed, management will finally send an apology email for not having a life guard to open the pool and now it will be closed for 5 days till the weekend and that weekend is a cold weekend then on Labor day 3 days later they will close for the rest of the year. There was also a day that the pool was green with algae and overfilled from the rain the previous night and life guard just people swim in the untreated water. All that and more, while you pay full priced rent.

Air Conditioning broke during very hot time. Staff set up a nice temporary AC and a brand new AC was installed a week later. Tech cleaned up afterwards. They did a great job in a bad situation.

I do not live at Ellicott Grove. I am leaving a review about my experience when I toured the property. Mason was incredible. He was informative, takes pride in his job and the property he represents, he is well mannered, kind, inviting, and patient. I am surprised to see so many bad reviews about the place. We fell in love with it but again that’s based off the tour. We had a wonderful experience with Mason. As we were getting into the car to leave, we were stopped by a tenant who recommended we don’t move here. She had her list of reasons. As someone in the property management business you understand you can’t please everyone and not everyone has the same experience. She gave us great insight on things we were concerned about and she also had complaints about things that are beyond management’s control. Overall, she didn’t scare us away but she did open the door for us ask more questions that we didn’t address. I appreciated our conversation with her as well. Thank you Mason for your time and providing us with a great experience. This property is on the top of our list.

I’ve been living here for a few years now, over the past few years, there has been many bugs coming inside of our apartment including mouse’s, cockroaches and many other insects. We asked the management people to help us but they are not helpful which when we asked them to come into our apartment for a mouse entering our apartment and the guy told us there was a mouse behind the stove, placed poison, and after a few more days, the same mouse was there so we knew that the guy was lying. Another thing was that while we were sleeping, a person came into our apartment and our dad has just came home which then he saw that guy looking at us while me and my mom and brother were sleeping. Please do not live here unless you want unexpected visitors and insects. Very bad management.
