A scam! I’m only 23 years old. I applied back in July 2025 FOR THE SECOND TIME since my application had been lost under Ty’s management. For that entire summer I would call and get no answer, email and get no response , and when I did get an answer things such as leaving me on hold for an hour because they forgot would happen. The beginning of October is when Bri took over which I was being told I was under qualified for the 1bdr at the LOWEST percentile. Once I was able to add some hours to my paystub I was told it looks like I should be approved. Once November hit I was told I was approved for a 2k apartment. HOW? When I was told I barely made the mark the first time. I don’t know what kind of back room stuff is going on but it’s ridiculous. I have so many emails calls and voice recordings but they have drained me and turned me all the way off I don’t even want any parts. I’m very confused on how the flats is getting away with this stuff. And the saddest part is that it’s like luck of the draw. There’s residences that I know personally that are making way more and have been approved for a 3BDR and at the same price I was given. I can’t make this up…

It’s always something living here. One minute it’s we can’t have gatherings at the pool/ grill areas . It’s like we in a senior citizen building on top of us being rushed to cook on the grills. Now y’all telling us we can’t park in the garage unless we have md tags this is not fair at all. Y’all are making things very inconvenient as residents and uncomfortable as we are paying residents.

Horrible place, VERY unorganized and they lack communication. A lady name Bri had my mother’s paperwork in the wrong folder and when told all my mothers docs were dropped off and she couldn’t locate them she caught an attitude and tried to act dismissive and wouldn’t allow me to see her supervisor. This is the second time we had experience this with her this is why we didn’t move forward

The road to getting my application processed wasn’t smooth — I had to call, email, and follow up multiple times just to get things moving. But I wasn’t going to let frustration get the better of me. I loved this apartment from the start, and I wasn’t giving up that easily. I kept pushing, stayed consistent with my communication, and it paid off. I secured a spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit, and it has genuinely been one of the best decisions I made in 2025. The space, the layout, the location, it all came together exactly how I’d hoped. Now that I’m settled in, I can say with confidence: as long as you respect the building’s rules and keep up with proper maintenance, this place is absolutely worth every penny. It’s a community that rewards residents who take pride in where they live. A special shoutout to Jayde Boles, she had patience I didn’t deserve at times, but she never stopped being professional and genuinely helpful. She made this happen, and for that I’m truly grateful. If you’re going through the process and feeling frustrated, stay the course. The right person and the right home make all the difference.

My girlfriend and I are relocating to the area and came across Flats at College Park. From the street view, it’s a beautiful property. Well kept and clean. Upon arriving, the assistant property manager was giving a tour so he wasn’t available to give us access to the building. There were two managers in private offices inside the large office who did not make any effort to acknowledge us or open the door so we stood outside for about 10 mins and witnessed a resident being taken away by PG County Police Officers. Had we been inside and properly greeted I’m sure we would’ve missed this incident. The assistant manager who toured the property with us was excellent! He was very informative and personable. We asked many questions and he was very patient and helpful. Again, the property itself is beautiful. We viewed a 2 bed 2 bath unit - stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, and huge closets in both bedrooms. The master bath also featured a His & Hers sink which was a plus for us. The living room and actual bedrooms were a lot smaller than expected which was the only negative feedback we had. Ultimately, Flats is a great property in an accessible area.
