  I just moved out after living in Topaz House for the last 5 years. It was a great experience and truly felt like home, but there are a couple drawbacks. The building is very well-built and I never encountered noise issues inside the building from other units except when construction was being done, which was always during business hours on weekdays but could be annoying when working remotely. If you live on the Montgomery Ave side of the building, be prepared for some noise from sirens and cars in the road as well as the garbage truck at the gym across the street. Units are large and the layouts are thoughtful, and the building as a whole has a nice character to it. Location is perfect and there is everything you could want walkable nearby. The Montgomery Mall easy to get to and the metro station a couple blocks away. Plenty of great food and stores in the area. I never get tired of walking around Bethesda Row or the section of Wisconsin Ave that is nearby. An older building, for better and worse. Utilities included in rent, which is an amazing value, but it is central heating/cooling so you will run into a week or two of uncomfortable temperatures every year each time the seasons change and the central system hasn't switched over yet. No laundry in-unit, but laundry rooms are on each floor. $4 per load (wash and dry) can be annoying, though. But for what you pay it is probably the best deal available in the area for housing. The gym and pool are both nice amenities to have onsite and generally are well-maintained. Maintenance is good about attending to issues quickly and without too much disruption. The package room is nice and generally does a good job, but is not truly 24/7 as if you receive a package on the weekend you need to wait for it to be sorted and logged before you can go get it. The parking garage is a death trap, no way around it. It's very common to see cars there with scrapes on the side from the pillars and walls, and if you're not very careful you will likely add one to your car while you are there. The staff and employees are generally friendly and helpful. The building is owned by a relatively small management company, so you don't feel like you're interacting with a massive faceless corporation. Overall, Topaz House was genuinely home to me for my time in Bethesda and I will miss it dearly. As long as the above aren't dealbreakers, I can't imagine choosing anywhere else to live in downtown Bethesda or really the area at large. Would absolutely recommend.

  Marissa and all the staff at Topaz House went above and beyond. The front desk people are also so very helpful. The unit was spotless and had no issues at all. I highly recommend the Topaz House Apartments!

  I just moved out of Topaz House and I had a great experience. It was very safe and the staff was very attentive, always helping me right away! The management was also great-easy to work with. Highly recommend!
