I was seriously considering moving into this community and was very close to submitting my application. After reading a detailed review from someone who lived here for nearly three years, I decided not to move forward. Reading about the constant management turnover, lack of communication, unresolved maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, security problems, and unreliable amenities really changed my perspective. I understand that every apartment community has its challenges, but these didn’t seem like isolated incidents. It sounded like ongoing issues that significantly affected the resident’s quality of life. I truly appreciate residents who take the time to write honest and detailed reviews because they help prospective tenants like me make informed decisions. Renting an apartment is a big commitment, and I don’t want to risk experiencing the same frustrations that others have described. Thank you to everyone who has shared their experience. Your honesty has ultimately helped me decide to continue my apartment search elsewhere.

I was a resident here for nearly three years. My experience started off positive, but unfortunately declined significantly over time. One of the biggest issues was the constant turnover in management. During my residency, the property went through multiple property managers and numerous assistant managers. At times, residents weren't even sure who was responsible for managing the building. Communication from management was often poor, with emails and phone calls frequently going unanswered or taking a long time to receive a response. Office hours were inconsistent, and staff were often difficult to reach. I also felt that residents paying market rent were not given the same level of attention as Section 8 residents. This became particularly apparent during my apartment search within the building. On one occasion, I requested to view a unit and received no communication that it had been removed from the market. Later, I scheduled another viewing and was shown a unit that was in poor condition. That experience ultimately influenced my decision not to renew my lease. Maintenance was another ongoing frustration. Work orders were sometimes marked as completed without anyone entering the apartment, while other requests took weeks to address unless I repeatedly followed up. We experienced recurring issues with our washing machine throughout our entire stay, and concerns were routinely dismissed rather than resolved. Residents on the fourth floor may want to ask questions about laundry and plumbing-related issues before signing a lease. Building cleanliness was also inconsistent. Pet waste was occasionally left in hallways and elevators, and trash disposal was a frequent problem among residents. While management regularly sent emails regarding trash room rules, tenants weren’t not following them. A lot of tenants smell just like the trash they are hoarding. There was very little sense of community within the building. Organized resident events were rare, and common amenities suffered from misuse and lack of supervision. Children were often left unsupervised in common areas, including the gym and recreation spaces, which led to damage and restricted access to certain amenities. The complimentary shuttle service was unreliable. Pickup times frequently changed, drivers rotated without notice, and there were occasions when the shuttle failed to arrive as scheduled. Residents relying on this service should plan extra time for transportation. Package management and building security were also concerns. Packages were often misplaced within the package room, and building entry doors did not always appear to function properly. As a result, access to the building sometimes felt less secure than it should have been. Overall, my experience was mixed. While there are some positive aspects to the property, the issues with management communication, maintenance responsiveness, cleanliness, and security make it difficult for me to recommend this community, particularly for residents paying market rent.

I have had a disappointing experience at Highlands at Faxon Woods. While the location is nice, the management is consistently rude and difficult to work with. A major issue is the amenities; the pool and ping-pong rooms are always closed to current residents. It feels like they are only kept open or cleaned up when prospective tenants are touring the building. Furthermore, if you have children, be warned: normal walking sounds like thumping to neighbors below, leading to constant complaints. It is not a place where kids can feel at home

I applied for this place , paid the holding deposit wanted to see the unit & was told it wasn’t ready WHY ARE YOU LISTING A UNIT THAT ISNT READY?! Why are you taking holding deposits when you cannot show the UNIT ? I spoke with Victoria on Wednesday she ran my credit & background while we were on the phone she told me my screening was clear , sent me an email of me being processed - tonight I get an email that my application was denied NO PROBLEM - all I know is I better receive my refund! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THEY LACK COMMUNICATION- give out false quotes and you won’t even know about it I found out from my worker , don’t waste your time they barely respond to emails let alone phone calls SAVE YOUR TROUBLES‼️

Living at Highlands Faxon Woods has truly been an exceptional experience. The homes are spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly spacious. From the moment you walk in, you can immediately see the care and attention given to every detail. Victoria, the Property Manager, sets an exceptional standard for professionalism. Her dedication and strong leadership are truly appreciated. She is organized, responsive, and consistently warm and friendly, making her very approachable. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the well-being of the residents. Every interaction with her has been pleasant, reassuring, and truly reflects her commitment to creating a positive living experience. The maintenance team is equally impressive. They respond to requests quickly and complete repairs efficiently and professionally. It gives such peace of mind knowing that anything you need will be handled promptly. The entire complex is consistently clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. The gym is spotless, well-equipped, and always in excellent condition. Even during winter, snow is removed quickly, and all walkways and cross paths are kept safe and clean. Beyond the beautiful property, what truly makes this community special is the atmosphere. It feels very safe, the neighbors are friendly and respectful, and the environment is quiet and calm. It genuinely feels like a comfortable and secure place to call home. I am extremely happy living here and highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a clean, professionally managed, peaceful, and welcoming place to live.
