We found Ames Shovel Works Apartments and completely fell in love. On top of how beautiful the place is, we met Alison, who has been tireless, super helpful, super friendly, and a huge help with our move. Because we were coming from abroad, there were a lot of unknown processes, and her help has been critical in making our move-in a success. I highly recommend this community—and specifically Alison—if you need any support moving in!

My husband and I worked with Alison, who was professional, knowledgeable and very personable. Because of the availability and our timing, we ended up with a place elsewhere. However, based upon our experience; if the opportunity arose and the timing was right, we would come back to Ames to look for a place in a heartbeat.

The grounds are always well maintained and crews worked tirelessly during the blizzard this past year to keep the parking lot clear. As most folks on here have noted, a special shout out goes to Fran, the head of maintenence. He is incredibly friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable.
